Why don’t I go first?

Today, my “first line” is from Rachelle Rea’s The Sound of Emeralds, which released TODAY!!!

I’m re-reading a classic, so I’m sure you know it but it would be harder to come up with off the top of your head. It’s North & South by Elizabeth Gaskell

  4. Mikal

“PhD was NOT supposed to smell like this.” I’m sure you’ll guess this one, Carrie! Yep, I just happened to have A Twist of Faith by Pepper Basham near me, because I may or may not have been gazing lovingly at the cover. 🙂 I think I can truthfully say that this is the first book I ever purchased just because of the cover! Of course, I love the story, too, but I’d already read it when I just had to buy the print book so I could admire the cover art!

    • Carrie

Yaaaay!!! I love that first line! And the book! And the cover! And the author! Lol
