Most anticipated summer 2016 non fiction

This may be shocking to some of you, but I do in fact read nonfiction on occasion 😉 Clearly not as often as I read fiction, but I have a handful of topics and authors that stay on my radar. As such, I managed to scrape up a few nonfiction books releasing this summer that have piqued my interest!

June

giddy up euniceGiddy Up, Eunice by Sophie Hudson (B&H Books, June 7) – It’s easy for women to focus on what seems to separate us: differences in age, parenting styles, career goals, or maybe even core beliefs about whether leggings can adequately serve as pants (the struggle is real, y’all). The reality, though, is that we have far more in common than we realize, and since Scripture shows us the blessing of friendships across generations, it’s high time we step out of our same-age, same-stage silos. Life is so much better that way.

Sophie Hudson, in the delightfully quirky Southern style her readers have come to know and love, sends out a rallying cry for women everywhere to open our eyes and see the people God has put in our lives—whether they’re behind us, beside us, or in front of us. It is such a gift to love one another, walk with one another, and soak up the blessings that flow across all generations.  Goodreads | Amazon

august

i wish he'd come with instructionsI Wish He Had Come With Instructions by Mike Bechtle (Revell, August 2) – When a woman begins a relationship with a man, she may think she’s found her knight in shining armor. As the relationship continues, that armor can begin to feel like a barricade she just can’t get past it. What’s he hiding in there, anyway?

Relationship and communication expert Mike Bechtle offers women an insider’s guide to the puzzling male brain. Simple and practical, this book provides women with a roadmap for better conversations and improved relationships. Bechtle reminds readers that men and women share many similarities, and by embracing those similarities they can better deal with differences. He explains how men think, act, communicate, and grow in relationships, and even offers tips for communicating in a toxic relationship.  Goodreads | Amazon

Ok… so I realize there’s only 1 per month.  But there just doesn’t seem to be a lot of nonfiction titles coming out this summer that I want to read. The fall on the other hand? I already have a long list. Stay tuned.

What about you? What nonfiction new releases are YOU looking forward to this summer?

The colouring book looks amazing! I just started to become obsessed. I received a small one in my Uppercase box a while back and now want to get a proper one. Can’t wait!

i didn’t see what the big deal was about adult coloring books at first … until I got my first one. Now I’m a little obsessed lol

My daughter sent me my first adult coloring book last year for Mother’s day, I’ve been hooked ever since. For non fiction I mostly read biographies. I don’t have any on my list right now though.

I’ve always loved biographies, ever since the summer reading program at my childhood library required 5 each year!

Giddy Up, Eunice sounds interesting! I like that it focuses on women’s unity instead of pitting us against one another.

I’ll admit I have no idea what nonfiction is coming out this summer but your post reminded me that I need to look into it a bit more 🙂
