“Stories make us more alive, more human, more courageous, more loving.” -Madeleine L’Engle When I think of summer and books, I think of picnics and fresh fruit/veggies and reading the day away. (As long as the picnic is indoors. Because air conditioning.) HarperCollins Christian Publishing has the perfect tote to… Read more »

Welcome, one and all, to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday – a blog linkup hosted each week by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is about those books we’ve picked up on a whim. Not the books we’ve chosen based on someone else’s recommendations or maybe not… Read more »
Just the word brings about images of tall, strong, and swoony men emerging into a story with enough testosterone to encourage a primal growl from the purist of prudes. Okay, so some heroes might encourage more of a quiet sigh as their tenderness, touch of tease, and/or quiet strength wrap around your heart like a constant hug…from nice strong arms.
Today on Top Ten Tuesday, the team at The Broke and the Bookish thought we should talk about those books that we don’t profile as often. Because, let’s face it – as book bloggers we do have a collection of books and authors that seem to crop up in almost every post. Especially the linkups and memes. So this Tuesday, we dedicate our blogs to those books we do really love so very much… but don’t talk about nearly enough.
This week’s edition of “Top Ten Tuesday” (hosted as always by The Broke and the Bookish) is brought to you by those books I meant to read in 2015 but …umm… didn’t.
I’m looking at you, 2016.
The Year of the TBR pile.
Since Pepper is one of my very favorite people in the world and A Twist of Faith is one of my very favorite books, I thought it would be fun to see what some of PEPPER’s favorite things are! So, you know, I asked her 🙂
A couple of weeks ago, I brought you a new list each day of the best books I read in 2015. This week will be similar except I will be talking about the books I’m most anticipating for the first half of 2016.
Let’s kick off the week with the contemporary genre!
It’s that time of year when everyone is making lists and checking them twice. Some are finding out who has been naughty and who has been nice. Some are making sure those in their circles of gifting know what they want for Christmas.
Here at Reading Is My SuperPower, I’m making lists too! Every day this week will feature the best books I read in 2015 from different genres.
Today’s focus is contemporary fiction.
In honor of the upcoming holiday, I am dedicating this week’s Top Ten Tuesday to the fictional families I would most like to join for Thanksgiving. So, grab a plate, pile it high with all your favorite foods, and settle in for my dream invite list.
*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish* Y’all. So. many. books. My TBR pile is out of control. Can anyone else relate?? Today’s theme is the top ten books on my Fall TBR. And oh good heavens – how can I possibly narrow it… Read more »
“You should be kissed and often, and by someone who knows how.” ~Gone With the Wind “Is this a kissing book?” ~ The Princess Bride Class is in session today for Top Ten Tuesday! And, since I’m a teacher in my other life, I couldn’t be happier. Grab your notebooks… Read more »
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up hosted by the girls at The Broke and The Bookish. Today’s topic is all about the authors I’ve read the most books from. (That sentence structure drives me crazy but it is what it is lol.) As I perused my Goodreads “Read” shelf… Read more »
This is the first week I’ve done this particular link-up (hosted by Jill @ BreakingTheSpine) but there are so many great books coming out the next half of this year! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone else’s picks too because… you know… I clearly need more books to read. LOL!… Read more »
I hate saying goodbye to my favorite series. TV shows, movies, books. Especially books. Although… my family might argue that point slightly, seeing as I spent the majority of my brother’s 3rd birthday party glued to the television watching the series finale of “Happy Days” (see photographic evidence). This was very… Read more »
