Y’all.

So. many. books.

My TBR pile is out of control.

my to read list

Can anyone else relate??

Today’s theme is the top ten books on my Fall TBR. And oh good heavens – how can I possibly narrow it down to ten? Lol.  So, suffice it to say, read this list with a grain of salt knowing that for every book mentioned here there are (at least) ten more stacked beneath it 🙂

  1. It is so hard to narrow my real TBR list down to just 10! But I’ve discovered if I break the list down into chunks, I actually read those books and can then move on to the next chunk. Of course, then I buy more books so it really doesn’t help! lol.

This is the third or fourth time I’ve seen The Girl From the Train mentioned in the last couple days (and not even all on TTT lists). I might have to check it out. My TTT.

  2. I have to agree with you, my TBR list is out of control as well! Both Last Chance Hero and The Golden Braid made it into my top ten as well (see it here: http://spreadinghisgrace.blogspot.com/2015/09/top-ten-tuesday-books-on-my-fall-tbr.html). A Reluctant Bride, A Christmas Bride in Pinecraft, and Luther and Katharina are on my TBR list as well, just the huge part of it that comes after my top ten 😉 I also just finished Falling Like Snowflakes the other day, it was absolutely wonderful!!! (My review here: http://spreadinghisgrace.blogspot.com/2015/09/my-bookshelf-falling-like-snowflakes-by.html)

  3. I think a lot of TBRs are out of control. While I haven’t read any of these, I just saw a really good review for The Girl From a Train. I love the cover for The Golden Braid and may have to check that retelling out.

  4. Ahh yes, the perpetual scramble to try and get that TBR list under control 😉 I want to say that I think I’m doing a reasonable job keeping the physical TBR books under control, but looks can be deceiving and I did pick up a book from the bookstore today 😀

Interesting list! I haven’t heard of any of these but they look interesting. Happy reading!

  5. I have heard of none of the books on your list, how is that possible? Also, how was unaware of a Rapunzel retelling, you are the second person I’ve seen featuring The Golden Braid and I’m sat confused as to how I’ve never even heard of it. I will definitely be investigating that, there are a couple of other books I may need to investigate as well, but we shall see.

  6. Interesting list! I had never heard of Luther and Katharina, but it sounds fantastic! I taught a Sunday school class on Martin Luther years ago, so this is right up my alley.

  7. Can’t wait to read Refuge of the Heart and yes, that cover is absolutely gorgeous! Hiding Places sounds really good as well, will definitely add it to my ever growing TBR.

  8. I’m currently reading Thunderstorm in Church, which is a MG book about Martin Luther, to my kids, so I actually knew what Luther & Katherina was about before checking out the link. 🙂 The Reformation is such an interesting and important part of history – there should be more historical fiction about it!

  9. I am over half way through Last Chance Hero. It is very good. I am going to have to force one of my book clubs to read Midnight on The Mississippi. I have been looking at this one for a long time and really want to read it. Luther and Katharina is on its way to me. Yay! Great list. You know you have just added more to my wishlist!

  10. I have a lot of the same titles on my kindle!
Refuge of the Heart is the only one I don’t have. The cover is gorgeous, so I will have to look into it.;)

  11. Hi! i can totally relate to an out of control TBR list 🙂 I haven’t heard of these on your list, but I checked out Hiding Places and it sounds great! One more…. haha. Thanks for stopping by my site!

  12. I keep thinking I’ll stop making TBR lists because they get crazy fast… but Luther and Katharina is on my list for October. The Golden Braid and A Reluctant Bride look interesting – I haven’t read any Amish fiction, might have to give it a try. 😀

  13. I know how you feel – my TBR is out of control!! If authors would quit writing such fantastic books, this would not be a problem. 😉 Enjoy your fall reading!

  14. Great list!! I haven’t read any of these, but Midnight on the Mississippi looks interesting. I’ll have to check it out. I hope you enjoy all these books this fall.

Thanks for stopping by my TTT!

  15. I can totally relate to that picture. The only good thing is that I can’t just stack my books up like that so that keeps me from getting threatened by them to be buried. Very interested in The Golden Braid. I’ve been looking at some of Melanie Dickerson’s books, but I just don’t know which one to try first. (Any suggestions?)

    • I would read either Healer’s Apprentice or Merchant’s Daughter because a) they are my faves lol and most importantly b) they start out the fairy tale series. I know you will love them!

  16. mcraeteisha

Everyone’s TBRs are out of control! Haha. I know the struggle. Having a large TBR pile is oddly overwhelming and satisfying at the same time. Great list!

  17. I can relate! My TBR collection is overflowing. I enjoyed reading your list! You always include such interesting books (which is bad for my already toppling TBR piles). Midnight on the Mississippi caught my eye and Falling on Snowflakes.

  18. Hahaha, I TOTALLY relate, girl! I am running out of space to cram books into, lmao. Looks like you and my mom have similar genres in common. She loves Amish type romance. 🙂

  19. Haha, yes I can totally relate to the never ending TBR. But I’d rather too many books to read than none at all.
Looks like you have some interesting books on your list. Best of luck with them all.

  20. Liza @ Reading with ABC

I think that an out-of-control TBR goes hand in hand with being a blogger 🙂 I love the cover for Golden Braid and Luther and Katarina, I’ll have to check them out.

  21. Haha, I can completely relate to having an out of control TBR list! Every time I think I know what I’m going to read next, I take a journey through the Kindle store, or browse Goodreads, or take a trip to the library to pick up a book on hold. The next thing I know my TBR has doubled.

  22. rachelburden

yes! I can totally relate, I’m scared my tbr pile may fall over and bury me alive sometime soon! I haven’t heard of most of these but I can see a few that are going to join my tbr pile lol.

    Great list
    Happy Reading

I feel ya. I could have easily listed nine times as many books I need to get to. lol Happy Reading! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

  24. randomsteph1210

This is the second list I have seen with The Golden Braid! While I loved Cress by Marissa Meyer, it’s nice to see another retelling with Rapunzel. She was always a favorite of mine when I was younger. Thanks for stopping by my blog!!

  25. A Rapunzel retelling? Sign me up! So few writers have taken up the challenge of retelling this story. I guess it’s a difficult one to adapt so that the princess isn’t just a damsel in distress. I’ll have to keep my eyes open for this one!

  26. that TBR picture is a perfect representation of my life at the moment as well (and i’m sure most book bloggers feel this way) lol. great post this week! happy fall reading!

  27. amyh90

Great list! I haven’t read any of the books here, but they look like they’re worth a look at. Great quote by the way! I can totally relate 😉
    Have a great day,
    Amy x
