toptentuesday

*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish*

Here in the United States, this is Thanksgiving week.  On Thursday, families around the nation will be pausing to reflect on their blessings, watch some parades and some football, and gorge themselves silly on turkey, dressing, various forms of potatoes, cranberry salad, and pumpkin pie.  Because nothing says, “Thanks, God!” like a carb-induced stupor 🙂

In honor of the upcoming holiday, I am dedicating this week’s Top Ten Tuesday to the fictional families I would most like to join for Thanksgiving. So, grab a plate, pile it high with all your favorite foods, and settle in for my dream invite list.

(Note: Since this is purely a hypothetical scenario anyway, I am not limiting myself to American families.  We’ll just imagine that any British families I include took a trip across the pond to visit for the holiday, okay?)

I love the quote from Grandma Dodie ,”Your bra strap is sticking out under the door”. This sounds like a delightful read. I have never read any Cynthia Ruchti books but after reading your review I am adding this book to my to be read list. Thank you for the giveaway. I am already a blog follower.

  3. I’d definitely have the Weasleys around for dinner! It would be such a fun day. But I think Molly would take over the cooking, not that I’d complain because I imagine her cooking would be amazing.

Thanks for visiting my post 🙂

  4. Hands down I would have dinner with the Weasleys. Good food and great company! Love your list this week, Carrie! Hope you have a great thanksgiving. 🙂

  5. For the contest…I commented on your review and I’m a long time WordPress follower. 🙂 thanks for the recommendation! It sounds like a perfect book to read at Christmas!

  6. Aww, you picked the Weasleys, too! I’ve heard good things about “First Frost.” Guess I need to check out the Waverleys 🙂
