Welcome to this Christmas week edition of Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  Today’s topic is all about the books we wouldn’t mind seeing under our tree.

Since “all the books” would make for a pretty boring post, I’ve narrowed it down somewhat 😉 Anyone still looking for Christmasy gift ideas for yours truly, feel free to take notes.

    • I was just looking at yours – had not heard of the Jane Austen & The 12 Days of Christmas book before your post. Definitely need to look for that one!! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Dear Santa – I’m hoping you’ll consider bringing me The Sunken Realm (book 4) by Serena Chase, because you know I often have a hard time getting a copy of the last book in a series when I’m so desperate to know the ending! Plus, you know what a fan I am of the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, right? Well, the audio books are great except…as usual I can’t get my hands on a copy of the final book, Winter. If you could find an audio CD of this book it would be, like, you know, WOW, you are awesome Santa!!!! And you know that anything by Denise Hunter is always a welcome addition to my book shelf. Forgive me for being greedy because my shelves are already filled with Melanie Dickerson, Pepper Basham, Colleen Coble, Sarah Ladd, Carla Laureano, Lenora Worth, Lee McClain, Valerie Comer, Rachel Hauck, and so many other great books. I guess what I need most, Santa, is more time to read all the great books on my shelf! A huge snow storm would be very welcome after Christmas, so if you and God could work out this detail I would be doing a happy praise dance to show my appreciation! Cookies and hot chocolate are waiting for you Santa. I’ve also cleaned out the recliner so you can have a little rest while you visit. Give my best to Mrs. Claus and the elves! Your friend, Stacey.

  2. I’ve read The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up! I did like it, but I didn’t find it as awe-inspiring as others did. It did make me want to go de-clutter everything. I think a few weeks later, when I was also listening to a podcast episode about de-cluttering, I did my purses, clothes, shoes and so on. It’s really such a good feeling. I do think the book is full of great ideas and tips for tidying up. I hope you’ll get these under the tree! 🙂

  3. I’ve been wanting How to be a Heroine for a long time! I hope you find them under your tree! (Or at least a gift card so that you can buy them for yourself!)

  4. I would love to own all the HP books. I have books 1 and 5. I’ve been slowly collecting them when I see the hardcovers at Goodwill or other thrift stores.

  5. Mr. Darcy’s Guide to Courtship sounds really interesting. I looove me some Mr. Darcy so i know I wouldn’t mind getting that book under my tree. I hope Santa sees this list and treats you well!

  6. A.) Those Puffin books are gorgeous (I own ‘Little Women’ in that edition) and B.) Your Christmas graphics are super cute! 🙂

  7. Oh I really like Melanie Dickerson’s books! And I own that copy of Anne of Green Gables (from the Puffin in Bloom set); I found it at Anthropologie!

  8. So many stunning books – what a wonderful list and so many many books.
Wonder how long it would take you to get through alllll these!!

I know everyone’s said it but those Puffin books are gorgeous – I WANT THEM SO BAD!! Wonderful list lovely xx

  9. Every single one of those books in your section “would be neat to own” sound absolutely amazing! I’m definitely going to have to look for those the next time I go book browsing. Great list, hope you get them all!

  10. Those fairy tale retellings have beautiful covers and were ones I’d not heard of. You’ve got lots of good stuff on your list. I hope Santa is good to you. Merry Christmas!

  11. “feel free to take notes” HAHA i love that! and i can’t believe you don’t own physical copies of HP yet! I hope some of the books show up under your christmas tree Carrie! happy holidays!

  12. Great list – a few of these I don’t mind the look of myself! Does remind me that I should probably get my own copy of the Harry Potter books at some point – in the past I’ve just read my mum’s copies.
    Merry Christmas!

  13. Having your library not carry amazing books is always a little sad… some do take requests, though, or do inter-library loans.

The Bookshop Book sounds like a really interesting read!

  14. Ooooohhhhh, yes! The Bookshop Book! How did I never see this one before?!? At least I have it on my TBR now! Just my cup o’ tea! I hope Santa deems you worthy and deserving of all these! Harry Potter…I have read this series 3 times and finally gave my books to my eldest son’s family with 6 children! I can only hope they enjoy them half as much as I did. And I admit that if I was going to splurge on a luxurious gift for myself, it would the hardcover set in the trunk! 🙂 Happy Holidays and Happy Reading!!

  15. I adore your list. I want to eventually get a specialized hardback copies of Harry Potter. I have all the regular hard covers and paper copies. But collector editions would make my year. 🙂 Merry Christmas!

  16. I LOVE your selection! I actually have (had?) Merchant’s Daughter but never realized it was a fairytale retelling!! Oh, that Harry Potter set is gorgeous. 🙂 I also love the cover of Chance of Loving You!

Thanks for swinging by my TTT!

  17. I hope you got Harry Potter!! I totally got those for Christmas from my husband our first Christmas together. He knows I’m a HP nerd 🙂 Hope to one day write blog posts about them all 🙂

    Merry Christmas!
