I was so very sad this morning to hear of Alan Rickman’s death. To me, he will always be Colonel Brandon and Professor Snape. His distinctive voice and thoughtful approach to acting will be missed.
I was so devastated when I saw this when I woke up this morning. I immediately started planning my Alan Rickman movie marathon that will begin tonight and continue for the foreseeable future. I had to search Audible to see if he had narrated any audiobooks because I knew I had to hear his voice today. Luckily he narrated Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy so I have been listening to that all morning. Alan Rickman <3 always
Awww. This can’t be right! I LOVE AR and am so sorry to hear he has passed away. Costner’s Robin Hood wasn’t that great, but AR was so fabulous in it. And he was evil greatness in Die Hard. And I could just go on and on and on. There was an old miniseries from the ’80s (Therese Raquin??) he was in — very young and hardly more than a bit part, but you could see “star” all over him.
I was so shocked to hear about his death…He was such a brilliant actor! Everybody will miss him 🙁
yes, indeed! the world is emptier for sure

oh what a brilliant idea – I will have to dig out Sense & Sensibility and watch it tonight in his honor!
Me too! I was shocked!!! Such an amazing actor! He will be missed. I’ll be re-watching several of his films to remember him! R.I.P, Alan!
