One of the books that someone will win in the Readers Appreciation Giveaway is Pepper’s contemporary novel A Twist of Faith.

Dr. Adelina Roseland has worked ten years in research as an accent reduction specialist to attain her dream job. But a secret wager to transform Appalachian cattle farmer Reese Mitchell into corporate material challenges Adelina in ways she never expected, threatening her new position.

For one, Adelina didn’t plan for the faith and friction of Reese, or the unexpected influence of his chaotic family. Now, drawn into a culture she’d tried to forget, Adelina finds the warmth of family, the hope of faith, and the joy of love melting away the deep wounds of her past.

But when Reese discovers that he’s a pawn in her climb up the academic ladder, will he forgive Adelina’s deceit or will their miscommunication end in two broken lives?

This sounds like a good book. I do not believe I have read any of her books. Will need to see if the library has any.

    • Pepper

Bree!! Oh my goodness, I just grinned Big enough to overshadow the Cheshire cat !!! What a sweet thing to say!!! I have the hardest time believing people actually fangirl over me

  3. Marylin Furumasu

    Hi Carrie,
I dint believe I’ve read any of Pepper’s books, so now I have another author to investigate and read. I feel a kinship with her because I work with Special needs children too. I was planning on working with the deaf, but God had other plans and now I work with many different students who have many different issues. I love it! Reading is my release.

      • Winnie Thomas

I second this! Read them! And if they’re in your TBR pile, move them up a little or a lot!

    • Pepper

      Marilyn,
How great to hear from a fellow teacher of special education!!! I hope you enjoy my stories

  4. carylkane

Hello PEPPER and Carrie! I have all of Pepper’s books in my TBR. I am working toward reading them soon. Have a blast in Nashville 🙂

  5. Hey Carrie! This is such a fun way to do a giveaway 🙂

Pepper, I haven’t had the chance to read any of your books yet, but they’re on my list!

  6. Winnie Thomas

Hi Pepper! I’ve already told you I LOVE your books–just write a little faster, please! 😀 I also love your enthusiam and zest for life, and your willingness to share that with us! You’re awesome!

Hi Carrie! You’re amazing! (Actually, you’re awesome, too, but I need to vary my words, and that would be too many awesomes in one post, even though you and Pepper share in your awesomeness!) Thanks for keeping us amused and amazed! I look forward to your posts everyday.

  7. Rachael Merritt

I have enjoyed every book I’ve read written by Pepper!! I love the comedy, characters, and most of all the inspirational messages in her books! Hope all of you have a great time! Congrats Pepper on three published reads. Hope to see more soon! ❤️❤️

  8. Melissa Romine

I am right in the middle of reading A Twist of Faith – my first book by Pepper! I am loving it! I hope I can meet her in Nashville!!

    • Winnie Thomas

Hi Sydney! Good to “see” you here! Come visit when you’re up this way!:-D And, yes, Pepper’s books are soooo good. I can’t wait for the next one, or two, or three!

    • Pepper

Sydney, you are amazing!! I can’t tell you how many people I’ve encouraged to get in touch with you about blog tours!!! Fantastic job and person 🙂

  9. rmaney@firstarpchurch.org

I am such a “Pepper Fan” and look forward to meeting her this summer. Her books are so enjoyably (is that a word??) inspirational.

  10. Andrea Stephens

Hi Pepper! I missed this yesterday 🙁 my internet was flaking out on me.
You write Reese’s accent so well, I find myself speaking with it after reading it. (I have a tendency to pick up accents when ever I’m around them, listen to them or read them)
Is it hard to write in an accent then in “normal” speech?

    • HAHA!! Oh Andrea, I love this question!! Well, since Reese uses my native accent, it makes it a little easier. AND since I’m a speech-language pathologist by day, I’ve learned to enjoy the differences in dialect
Sometimes it’s hard to write. I LOVE writing British accents, but since I’m not a native, I strive to get as close as I can 🙂

      • Andrea Stephens

Pepper, you have an awesome day job. I too love British accents. Two of my high school years, I got off the bus with a British accent. First class after lunch was German, my partner was British, so I spoke German with a British accent. My last two classes of the day, I had British teachers. Living in a multi-cultural area, I have to be very aware of my problem when I speak to people. I don’t want people to think I’m making fun of them.
Since you are a professional, is there a name for my condition?

  11. Oh gosh! I have not read Pepper’s books…YET…But she is one of my favorite people!!!! Can’t wait to see her in Nashville!!! 😀

  12. Jan Hall

Wow Pepper! It looks like you have had a very busy two years. You were blessed to have a story teller grandmother.

    • Jan,
It HAS been a busy two years and I’m beyond thankful for my granny’s faith in me! God used her to light that spark inside of me. I like to think of it as her legacy.

  13. Pam K.

I’ve read some reviews and an excerpt of A Twist of Faith that made me really want to read this book. Thanks for offering it as part of this fantastic prize package.

  14. I can’t wait to read this book! It’s sitting in my Kindle Unlimited folder as we speak! Just gotta find a free moment to start it!

  15. So excited about this book, I finally got my hands on a copy now I just have to make it over the post-vacation hump and read it!!! Yay! Now that is motivating!

  16. Trixi

I pray the same thing as you do Pepper, that God will use your words to touch our hearts and strengthen our knowledge of His beautiful love! 🙂

I SO appreciate an author who’s a willing vessel for Him to speak through & who won’t compromise their faith in their writing! Although I do have your books, they are yet to be read…I’ve heard SO many good things that it makes me look forward to when I can read them!

  17. Becky Dempsey

Hi all 🙂 I don’t think I’ve read any of Pepper’s books…yet! I am fond of speech-language people as after 3 1/2 years, my youngest is about to graduate out of speech. (He was dropping the beginning and ends of words–so house sounded like ow) I was wondering…is Pepper a nickname? My Aunt Phyllis goes by Pepper now.

  18. Amanda J.

Hi Pepper. I’m late commenting, but I just want to say that I’m so happy you’re sharing your writing talent with us. I loved Dee and Reese so much, and I felt at home with the Mitchells because so many of my friends and family live in East Tennessee. I really, really hope Alex has a story. I wanted to dislike him but I almost couldn’t. Totally loved Ashleigh and Sam. I only have Catherine’s to go. Last, I’m so happy someone asked about your name because I thought perhaps it was a pen name. Kuddos to your mom for creativity. 🙂

    • Amanda,
Thank you SOOOOO much for supporting these stories with your enthusiasm!! YAY!!! I think you might have a really good guess on who the next story is going to be about in the Mitchells Crossroads series – and I’m writing it right now 🙂

I cannot WAIT to see what you think of Catherine’s story. I totally fell in love with her!

  19. Becky Smith

I had so much fun reading these comments! You are a new author to me, and I am now following you on Amazon. I definitely look forward to reading your books!

  20. Brenda Murphree

You are definitely on my list of new authors to read. I have one of your books on my kindle that is on TBR list! Thanks for the opportunity to win a free book!

  21. Pam Graber

I don’t think I’ve read anything Pepper has written but, judging by many of these comments, I need to remedy that!

  22. Melissa

I really enjoyed A Twist of Faith by Pepper Basham. Looking forward to reading more stories by Pepper.

    • Pepper

Melissa, I am so glad you enjoyed it 🙂 and thank you so much for spreading the word!

  23. WENONA

This sounds like another great read – it’s now on my list! Thanks for the chance to win!

  24. I just soaked up A Twist of Faith. Bring on the next one in that series….at least I’m expecting more of those side characters….please 🙂

  25. Carla Moore

A Twist of Faith sounds very energetic and dramatic. A story worth keeping up with. Such a beautiful cover.

  26. Justina Wilson

    Hi Pepper!
I seriously need to sit down and read your books, I know once I do I will enjoy it. Thanks.

  27. BJMarley

We’re practically neighbors, well about 90 minutes away. I’d love to read this book.

  28. Melissa Romine

I just finished A Twist of Faith today. It is an awesome book. I will be recommending it to several people so that they can enjoy it, too.
