Fall is almost here, y’all!! I’m SO EXCITED!! I adore fall – the cooler temps (hallelujah), the colorful trees, pumpkin everything, apple everything, those little “fun size” boxes of Nerds and Dots that come out at Halloween (the only time I want to eat either of those).
And my favorite part about fall? It comes right before WINTER! My favoritest season because winter brings SNOW! And hot chocolate! And gloves! And scarves! And adorable earmuffs!
Yay! I’m clapping my hands in anticipation! (How many exclamation marks did I use in those paragraphs? I don’t even want to know.)
Another thing I love about fall and winter? All the marvelous books releasing in the next few months! I already know I’m going to leave some out… Aigh!

Where are all the November & December contemporaries?!? lol
What about you? What upcoming contemporary releases are you most looking forward to?
TOO MANY CHOICES!!!!!!!!!!
I KNOW!!!!!! my TBR brain is exploding lol
SO looking forward to “Can’t Help Falling.” 😀
meeee toooooo 😀
It’s SO good. Wept some very good, real tears.
It does seem as if the few releases in November and December are mostly historical or mysteries/suspense/thriller/speculative!
October 25 also has A Baxter Family Christmas by Karen Kingsbury–so good! Baxter fans will be thrilled!
Nov 29–The Cherished Quilt by Amy Clipston
Dec 6–Of Stillness and Storm by Michelle Phoenix
Dec 1–One More Song to Sing by Lindsay Harrel (Ashberry Lane)
oh! yes! Duh. One More Song to Sing. I should have remembered that one 🙂
Are you going to do historicals, too?
Or cozies?
Or historical cozies? 😉
yep yep – Historicals are tomorrow. Mysteries are Wednesday (if you’ve got a cozy coming out, let me know!) Amish is Thursday. Nonfiction and YA/Fantasy is Friday 😀
Drew’s fifth adventure, Murder on the Moor, comes out in January. That counts as Winter, right? 😀
amazon.com/Murder-Moor-Drew-Farthering-Mystery/dp/076421828X
It’s my favorite so far ’cause it’s kinda got Aidan Turner in it. 😀
I’ve got that one down for my post in December on Most Anticipated Winter 2017 😀 Don’t worry – I’ve had it on my list for like 3 months now… with the goal in mind that I will be ALL CAUGHT UP with Drew and his adventures before it comes out. 😀
Hee hee.
Drew thanks you with his usual suavity. 😉
*thud*
Hee hee . . . now he’s fanning you with a menu from a posh French restaurant and looking about for help.
hee hee hee
I live historical cozies got any coming this fall? All these sound like an excellent read! Can’t wait!
Historicals are tomorrow and Mysteries (including cozies) are Wednesday! 🙂
Ahh! So many good books, and so little time! Thanks for sharing this amazing look at upcoming Contemporary Fiction.
You will enjoy tomorrow’s list as well 😉
Can’t help falling is definitely at the top of my list. Reading Dance Over Me right now! Yay!
yay!!!
*evil laugh* I just finished Can’t Help Falling Last nigh. Mwahahahaha
That is SO not fair!
yeah yeah 😉
Stinker. 😉
Yep. Totally drowning in my TBR pike right now. What a way to go… 🙂
Oh dear… That should be TBR pile, of course!
haha! I knew what you meant. A TBR pile seems like a much more pleasant way to go than a pike though 😉
Lots of great reading ahead!!!! Thanks for sharing Ms. Carrie! 🙂
my pleasure!
Oh be still my heart!!! Such a power-packed list…and RRB made it! I die. Thank you, and I’ve been waiting for My Hope Next Door too. Less than ten days! 🙂
LOL you’ve been hanging around Mikal, I see (“I die.”) RRB is one of the next on my list to read 😀
Bahaha! I wondered where I picked that up. Yep. Must be from Mikal! 🙂
haha!
Carrie! I love this list. I love that I’m on this list. I love that I’m on this list TWICE!!!! SWEEEEEEET!!!!!
Happy dancing, lovely lady!
Thank you!
Ruthy
Haha! It made me smile to put you on this list TWICE!! (Guess what? You’re on tomorrow’s list too lol)
I see you have two on the list. I read the first one in the Double S Ranch series and enjoyed it! Both books in the series have fabulous covers! Eye candy!!!!
Oh yes! Eye candy for sure!
I believe that Pepper Basham has a new one coming in October or November. I’m looking forward to reading that one. Also, Robin Jones Gunn has two coming out this fall. One is a third novella, Kissing Father Christmas, in the Father Christmas series by Faith Words. The first book in Todd and Christy: the Baby Years is coming November 25th! This book is Indie Published and is called Salty Toes.
Pepper’s is historical (in Nov) which I’ll have on my list tomorrow 😀
I still need to read Robin’s Christmas series!!
I can see there will be many sleepless nights for us! So many books I’m salivating over! Speaking of salivating, Carrie, if you have any crowns on your teeth, do not, I repeat DO NOT eat Dots! I hadn’t had any for years, and I succumbed to temptation a few years ago and ate a couple. Pulled a crown right off. I was talking to someone else and said I’d lost a crown. She said, “Well I lost one while I was eating some Dots a while back!” They are vicious!
Oh my!!! Thanks for the warning!!
This post should come with a warning! 😉 I’m very much looking forward to Denise Hunter’s Just a Kiss.
Ha! Sorry! “TBR piles will increase to dangerous levels upon reading this post”. How’s that? 😉
Perfect! (And completely true!)
Oh, my! What a fantastic list! Thanks for including Where Two Hearts Meet! 🙂 I’m off to add to my TBR pile with so many of these fantastic finds! I’m especially excited about Katherine Reay’s A Portrait of Emily Price. Impatiently waiting for November. 🙂
You are in fantastic company, Liz! I’m pretty sure I need to take a leave of absence from work to get all these read haha!
Looking forward to Melissa Tagg’s new book! Love that series! And Can’t Help Falling!!
I probably shouldn’t have read this list though!!
Haha!
Very cool, Candee Fick! I look forward to reading that one.
Listening to audio books while you are doing household chores makes your TBR list go down faster. When I have to work around the house doing laundry, washing dishes, unloading the dishwasher, dusting furniture, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, and more I listen to audio books from the public or digital libraries. I also use OneClick Digital through my public library. One Click has a lot of Christian fiction on audio.
I concur! And I drive 30 minutes to many places. I love them then, too.
i get too distracted with audio books but my husband loves them!
I’ll tell you a secret – I sometimes snatch those little boxes of Nerds from my kids’ Halloween loot. They don’t even know! And I’ve never actually BOUGHT Nerds in my life.
What a great list! I’ve read advance copies of The Thirteenth Chance, My Hope Next Door, and Just A Kiss, and they are all very good! Looking forward to some others on the list as well, especially Julie Lessman’s!
I feel like one of my books showing up on the same page as their must be some kind of mistake! But I’ll take it. Thank you!
LOL as a parent you totally have that prerogative haha! And no mistake – i know exactly what I’m waiting for, thank you very much 😉
I read half of “Just a Kiss” last night . . . . . .. pretty awesome, so far.
And “Red Rose Bouquet” is one of my favorite books of the year!
I’m so eager to read both!
Wow, wow, wow! Our cup runneth over!!!
so many books!!!!
TBR pile growing! Love all these comments! LOL.
haha!
