I love it when this week comes up every season – a week of posts about the upcoming new releases that I’m excited about!! Sadly, I have come to accept that I can’t possibly read them ALL while they are still considered new releases, but that has not stopped me from adding all of these to my TBR pile.
So many fantastic books on the horizon for January-April 2017! I’m switching up the format a bit from how I usually arrange things. Instead of posting a blurb for each book I’m listing, the sheer volume of books on my list this season means I’m going to settle for cover shots and a brief summary at the end of the post. I’m also including, for the first time, all of the Love Inspired and Harlequin Heartwarming releases by category for each month because I really appreciate these imprints (and their commitment to clean romance written with excellence) and there are always so many new-to-me authors in each batch.
If you want to know more about each book, clicking on the covers will take you to that book’s Amazon page.
Here’s the breakdown for the week’s posts:
Today – Contemporary Fiction
Tuesday – Fantasy/YA
Wednesday – Historical Fiction
Thursday – Amish Fiction
Friday – Mystery/Suspense
Saturday – NonFiction
Most books on these lists (with the exception of 1 or 2 each day) are classified as “Christian” or “clean” fiction.
Covers still to come:
Begin Again by Crystal Walton
Second Chance Love by Pamela S. Meyers
Cover still to come:
The Secret Heart – Marie Wells Coutu
Covers still to come:
Picture Perfect – Emily Reynolds
Love at First Laugh novella collection – Krista Phillips, Heather Gray, Laurie Tomlinson, Betsy St. Amant, Christina Coryell, Marion Ueckermann, Jessica Patch, Elizabeth Maddrey, and Pepper Basham
I also have it on good authority that a wedding-themed novella collection from authors Toni Shiloh, Melissa Wardwell, and Tanya Cook will release in March
More covers still to come:
Just the Way You Are – Pepper Basham
Sarah Monzon and Melissa Tagg hope to have new novels out around April in their Carrington Family and Walker Family series, respectively, and Sally Bradley plans to release her next novel Shelf Life sometime in the spring as well.
Courtney Walsh is also teaming up with 3 other authors for a novella collection in April.
I can’t even begin to pick the ones I’m most excited about from this list – too many fantastic possibilities here! My favorite covers so far? Paws For Love is adorable. The Hideaway makes me want to sit down and rest a spell. The Second Bride grabs my attention and doesn’t let go.
What about you? What contemporary (not Amish or suspense or YA) new releases for the spring are you most looking forward to? Which covers are your faves?
Girl, you are a blogging machine! I haven’t even managed December’s new releases yet! How do you get so much done?
I do have my eye on many of these new releases, though ?

No, no, NO, Carrie! I can’t possibly add all these to my TBR pile/mountain/pyramind! I shall have to pick and choose, I guess! Definitely Restoring Love by Jennifer Slattery, The Memory of You by Catherine West, A Fragile Hope by Cynthis Ruchti, Maybe It’s You by Candace Calvert, Rescue Me by Susan May Warren, and Just the Way You Are by Pepper Basham. I’m sure I’ll be adding lots more, but that should do for now!
