When Peter and Emelia cross paths on her first night in Oxford, the attraction is instant and they find common ground in their shared love of Narnia. What about you? Have you read the Chronicles of Narnia? If so, which book is your favorite?
Sad to say, I have never read these books…..
This sounds like just the kind of story I’d like to read! Thanks for telling us more about Kara and her books.
I forgot to add, I have read the Chronicles of Narnia and seen the movies and loved them all. The Magician’s Nephew is one of my favorites because my son acted in that play.
Ooh, that’s tough. I think Book One will always be my favorite. I grew up on that story. I still remember an old animated version that had me in tears every time I saw the lion die. It may even be part of what shaped my heart for loving the power of fiction.
I’ve never read them, but have them on my list for when life slows down. Soon for both I hope!
I have read them and seen the movies. I think the first one is my favorite.
I LOVE CoN SOOOOOOOOO much. That’s one reason I loved Kara’s book.
If you haven’t read it, you should. It’s charming.
I love all of the Narnia books, but I think the first and the last are my favorites. The first because of the wonder of seeing Narnia for the first time along with the Pevensies and the last because they finally get to stay forever and it’s better than before . . . and the story is just beginning.
I’m just sorry that Disney/Walden Media stopped after three books. I would have loved to see all of them made. đ
i so badly want to see The Magician’s Nephew on the big screen one day!
I’m very ashamed to admit I haven’t read the Chronicles of Narnia. Please don’t tar and feather me!
gasp! đ Well, you must at least read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe! I insist đ
Narnia books are household favorites. The Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe is still my favorite.
mine too!
I LOVE the Narnia series! Our family so enjoys the new Narnia movies, and the Focus on the Family audio series is AMAZING! ‘The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe’ is my favorite. I hope the movie rights issue can someday be worked out so Disney can continue making movies of the rest of the Narnia series. The first 3 were phenominal! Thanks for the opportunity of this giveaway!!!
i hope so too! I really want to see The Magician’s Nephew on the big screen đ
I have not read this series yet. It has been recommended to me by many people.
oh you must!! đ
I loved all the books but the Magician’s Nephew is my favorite.
I read them when I was in college many many years ago. Now that the movies have come out its fun to remember them.
TMN is a very close second to my fave – TLTWTW
I have only read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe so I that would be my favorite. I have fond memories of reading it to my kids when they were little. Thanks for the giveaway.
it’s a fave of mine too!
I have not read the books but may have to go find out what they are all about!
oh you must!!!
I have read Prince Caspian and Chronicles of Narnia-The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe đ I think I like the first the one the best! I love the movies too! I hoping to start The Voyage of the Dawn Treader soon! đ
Voyage of the Dawn Treader has my fave first line EVER! lol
I realize that everybody will be shaking their heads at me, but alas I have not read any of the Narnia books. I did start reading one of the books to my son when he was younger, but he didn’t care for it and we moved on.
Personally, I love the allegory, but I have never been a big reader of fantasy.
oh Terrill!! You must at least eventually read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe!
I have only read the first book. My children, however, have read every single one.
you must at least read The Magician’s Nephew and The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe!
The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe has been my standing favorite
mine too! That and The Magician’s Nephew
I’ve seen her books on Goodreads before. Excited to check out your site some more đ
hi Abigayle! đ
Thank you everyone for your kind words and Carrie for having me (again!). I hope the winner enjoys Peter and Emelia’s adventures đ
My favourite Narnia book is The Magician’s Nephew. The scene where the White Witch is in London with poor old Uncle Andrew makes me laugh and laugh every time! And I love seeing the creation of Narnia, too đ
i adore the Magician’s Nephew!!
I love this kind of post and receiving an email telling me about it because I get to know authors that I didn’t know before. I have Kara’s book added on my ‘to-read’ list on GoodReads.:)
And I have read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe a long time ago. I think I need to re-read it soon.
yay!! đ
The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, although I love all of them!
me too!
I have see 3 of the Chronicles of Narnia movies and all were impressive, entertaining and inspirational!
oh you must read the books too!
I actually have not read any of the books. I didn’t like “fantasy” when I was a young child and then just never read them. We own the books and my daughters have all read them. I’ve watched the movies though.
oh you must!!! At least The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe đ
I have not read them.
oh you must!
The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe is my favorite. I have the movies for allthis series.
that’s one of my faves too!
I have read the Narnia books. I read them aloud to my two oldest children when they were in elementary school. Not sure which is my favorite though – one of the first two!!
Love Kara’s books!!
they are such great read-aloud books!
I have never read the Narnia series, though I loved all the movies. I really loved the one that used to play on PBS when I was a kid. My sister and I used to pretend we were going to Narnia too.
i love that! (but you still need to read the books lol)
Saw the movie but sadly never read the book!
oh you must!
I haven’t read these books.
I was given the set of The Chronicles of Narnia for Christmas when I was a child. I started reading The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, but I didn’t really enjoy it. I never went back to them. I guess it just wasn’t my thing.
awww you should try at least that first one again as an adult!
I think the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. When I was little I tried to walk through my closet I was so enchanted with the story.

Me too! So disappointing when all I found was a wall haha!
