Yay! It’s my favorite week of each season – a week of posts about the upcoming new releases that I’m excited about!! Sadly, I have come to accept that I can’t possibly read them ALL while they are still considered new releases, but that has not stopped me from adding all of these to my TBR pile. #booknerdproblems

Today we’re going to look at CONTEMPORARY FICTION new releases for May-August.

Susan D. – get out your lists 😀 hahaha!

Here’s the breakdown for the week’s posts:

I have had the privilege of advance reading “Looking Glass Lies” by Varina Denman, so I am excited for others to have the experience of absorbing the truths permeating through-out this gutsy, deeply redeeming story.

Definitely looking forward to the releases by Liz Johnson, Becky Wade, Denise Hunter, Victoria Bylin, Ruth Logan Herne, Sarah Monzon, Susan May Warren,Courtney Walsh, Kara Isaac . . . . but a newer author, to me at least . . .. that so impressed me . . Tammy Gray. Plus, Toni Shiloh and Teresa Tysinger . . . oh, I see what you mean!

My answer to your question as to which books I’m most looking forward to from May to August is: all of the above. I think Nicole Deese is supposed to have one in August. I’m looking forward to hers.

  3. Grrrrr!!! I need more paper!! Hahahaha

Now, where the check is my pen??

Great list! My TBR just exploded and it’s only the first day!!??

  4. May’s going to be epic. I may have to take a writing break just to dive in the book world. Oh and Hillary Manton Lodge and Courtney Walsh’s books look fantastic! And how did I miss that Victoria Bylin had a new one coming?! *goes to add to TBR pile*

Thanks for including mine! I’m in such good company. 🙂

  5. Paula S.

Jane of Austin and Freedom’s Ring because I’m really more interested in historicals. So I like the historical connection of these two books.

These posts are my favorite! All those covers are like gifts under the tree waiting to be unwrapped! I have been a long time fan of Wade, Deese, Matayo, and Gray. Thanks to your blog I have recently enjoyed books by Bylin and Monzon. Several of these others will get added to my list, too!

  7. Tracey Hagwood

I have a lot of the same books on my “coming in 2017 list” so I’ll just add one not on your list.

*THE WRITING DESK by Rachel Hauck out in July. I read an arc and I believe it’s going to make all the BEST Books of 2017 lists. LOVED IT! It falls into both the contemporary and the historical categories, but it starts in modern day so I’m adding it here.

    • Carrie

ah yes!! I stuck that one in historical, for some reason. But I’m most DEFINITELY looking forward to it!

So as I was scrolling I’m thinking yes! Excellent choices. Then more books appeared and I go back. That was just May? Oh dear! Must read faster! ? Bring it on summer! Yay for great authors and books and friends and their debuts!

  9. Linda

So many great books coming! I think Melissa Tagg has one coming in August – the final Walker family story.

  10. My favorite genre. How to choose!? Excited for Melissa’s, Hillary’s, Becky’s and the novella collection “Right Where We Belong” sounds super cute, too. 🙂
