about the book

She is threatened with her most challenging assignment yet, and it has nothing to do with the military.

Life is never the same for Kate Langston, working in Security Forces at Scott Air Force Base, IL. She never knows what each day may bring. She and her boyfriend, John Kern, could get sent anywhere in the world at any time, while serving and protecting the country they love.

But when tragedy strikes, Kate is devastated, and can barely function. And after a secret is revealed, it shatters Kate’s quiet and ordered life. Friend and colleague Spencer Coleman willingly helps Kate, hoping he can become more than a friend.

In Heir Force, join Kate in her inspirational journey and discover how she overcomes the many changes that take place in her life, and her heart.

  1. Perrianne Askew

I do not live near a military base. The closest would be in Killeen or San Antonio. Thank you for the giveaway opportunity and Merry Christmas.

  2. Diane Buie

No, I do not live near a military base. Most of those are really far away; more than 2 hours drive I would have to guess. Thanks for the chance at this giveaway!

  3. Anne L. Rightler

I thought there was one not too far but when I googled it, there are apparently several military bases in Michigan.

  4. Hannah Corner

We are missionaries on the road full-time raising support right now, so we don’t “live” anywhere. But, my husband retired from the Air Force this past May. So we’ve lived near or on bases for the last 20 years.

  5. Vivian Furbay

Living in Colorado Springs, there are a lot of military establishments and retired personnel here. I grew up as a military brat and my Dad retired here. Would enjoy reading this book.

  6. Becky Smith

We live near Whiteman Air Force base is about 40-45 miles from us. When their jets fly over the sports stadium, they fly over our house on their way home. It’s quite impressive.

  7. Gloria

Yes, there is an Air Force base and a Navy base here in the town that I live in the Florida panhandle and numerous other Air Force and Navy bases across the rest of the panhandle.

  8. Faith Creech

No, we are part time, retired missionaries and travel all the time. When we don’t travel our home is in the Rockies at 10,000’.

  9. emilee

Not really. The Coast Guard base is the nearest and it’s about 18 miles from where we live. I am very thankful for our military! God Bless the USA!

  10. Audrey Stewart

I grew up in Charleston, SC and we had an Air Force Base and a Navy Base. I was a navy brat and my Dad retired as a lifer.

  11. I don’t live right near a military base.I vacationed once at a base in IL It was many years ago but I remember having a good time right near the base with all the men. The book sounds very inspirational while one journey faces you as you move a long. I would love to win this ook to add to my collection of books. Thank you for the opportunity to possibly win this book.
