Top Ten Tuesday: Books on my Christmas List

Posted December 19, 2017 by meezcarrie in nonfiction, Top Ten Tuesday / 30 Comments

Happy Tuesday! Today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is (as you may have guessed) ‘books I want to see under the tree’.

Books are always a good idea to have on a Christmas list. Why? Well first … duh. 😉 Second, they don’t go out of style and they won’t not fit if you gain or lose a few pounds. They don’t spoil and they don’t die. This makes them a perfect choice for those family members or friends who save your leftover Christmas ideas and use them for other gift-giving occasions too. In fact, I was tempted to just copy and paste last year’s list for today’s post (i didn’t) because I still wouldn’t mind seeing any of these books under my tree!

Instead though I’m going to look at some ‘how to’ books that I would love to own:

What about you? What is something you would like to learn how to do?

I have a hand lettering or two on my list and The Beautiful Word Devotional. And as always, many, many books of fiction. I enjoy buying books for our grands too.

I have told my family I really wouldn’t mind if every gift under the tree were books or gift cards. I hate when people say , “don’t you get tired of books?” ☹️

  3. The hand lettering book looks neat! I used to do calligraphy, but I haven’t had (made?) time for it in decades. I really enjoyed used real ink and creating beautiful letters.

A couple of these books are good for people with collecting problems. I have my own saying “Cluttered mind, Cluttered house”. So we must clear our heads first.

I would like to someday learn to watercolor. It’s on my bucket list. Just don’t have time for it right now 🙂
