HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I cannot believe it’s already 2018 …. and, I don’t know about you, but I’m praying 2018 is a much better year than 2017 was for me personally ♥

One thing 2017 did do well – books! And starting today, we’re looking at some of my faves from the year. Today’s topic? COVER LOVE! Here are my fave covers (in no particular order) from the books I read in 2017…

Some great ones here! I loved These Healing Hills by Ann Gabhart and The Case of the Clobbered Cad by Debra Marvin.

  2. Beautiful! I love The Secret Life… A Moonbow Night (the girl looks like one of my daughters!), Hometown Girl, and Then There Was You. Those were must haves based strictly on the covers. 🙂 PS. Happy New Year, lady!

  3. Gloria

All great but I especially like The Hideaway and The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck. The latter cover fits the story so well.

  4. Carrie Turansky

So many beautiful covers! I was an art major in college, and a beautiful cover really draws me in. I’m happy to see you included Shine Like the Dawn. A few of my favorites: A New Shade of Summer, The Elusive Miss Ellison, and The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck.

  5. First, Carrie, may your 2018 be blessed beyond blessed. Your 2017 was like my 2014, and even this morning as we start a new year, I prayed for protection from another year like that one. My heart goes out to you.– Now to the covers, all of which are gorgeous choices. I’m so excited to see Freedom’s Ring here. I’m also particularly drawn to Someplace Familiar (I like that we can’t see faces, kind of mysterious). The Hideaway always attracts me, too…peaceful.

    • Oh, Karen, I’m so glad Someplace Familiar’s cover grabbed you. Would you believe I went through about 20 drafts of it — playing with different photos and fonts and colors. But I knew this was “it” when I landed on it. Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Happy new year to you Carrie! Good covers are important, aren’t they – so thank you for including Miss Ellison, Lady Charlotte and Miss DeLancey among your faves! ?

Such a great group of covers (and stories)! Beautiful covers make me want to grab the book and start reading. I’ve read about half of these. Some I have in my waiting pile, and there are a few I need to add to my wish list.

    Thanks, Carrie!

These covers are all great!I loved the covers of True to You,The Esther Paradigm and Melissa Tagg’s Christmas series. Happy New Year, Carrie!

  9. Sarah

So many great covers here! Especially The Road to Paradise. Jane of Austin was another great cover this year. And The Girl Who Could See.

  10. Melissa Romine

Great choices!! I enjoyed the variety of covers that did not include actual models this year – something different. That said, I also liked Lady Jane Disappears. Very intriguing!!

  11. Megan Hamsher

When Tides Turn by Sarah Sundin

A Rebel in My House by Sandra Merville Hart

In His Eyes by Stephenia McGee

Flight 259: A Contemporary Christian Romance Novel by Staci Stallings

Classified K-9 Unit Christmas by Lenora Worth & Terri Reed

  12. April Gardner

Melanie Dickerson’s covers (and titles, too, for that matter) never fail to enchant me (see what I did there hehe).
And kudos to Roseanna White for Bitter Eyes No More and another cover well done!

  13. Carrie, looks like you and I are in agreement with most of the books. Moonbow is my most favorite cover. It has a way of making you feel like you’re in the scenery with Temp.
could you imagine living in 1700’s Kentucky?

  14. Gah!!! These are all GORGEOUS covers!!!! Thank you sooooo much for including Count Me In. I’m totally speechless (obviously that’s not literally…ha!).

You are amazing, dear woman!!! <3

  15. Also love Mark of the King, Heather Day Gilbert’s ‘Guilt by Association’ (love all three in that set) and mine ‘Grace in Strange Disguise’. My designer just won a gold star for it on Joel F’s cover design awards.

  16. Being a graphic designer by profession, I particularly LOVE this post and all these gorgeous covers!!! Also, no lie, super thrilled and honored to have you include Someplace Familiar! You bless me, friend!! Hope 2018 is awesome for you and yours.

I love the cover for “A Moonbow Night” – The covers gives an awe of mystery of whatever the girl is contemplating and stares out at whatever has her eyes fixed.
