Hi friends! It’s that time again – my favorite week of each quarter … the posts where we look ahead at all the great books (and covers!) that are coming up in the next four months (May-August). I am determined to read most of these…. eventually lol. (Has anyone seen the bottom of my TBR pile in the last three years?? Because I haven’t ♥)

Here is the schedule of posts so you can zero in on your fave genre!

TODAY: Contemporary Fiction (non-Amish & non-suspense)
Wednesday: Historical Fiction
Thursday: Mystery/Suspense
Friday: Amish Fiction
Saturday: Speculative/YA
Sunday: Non-Fiction

If you want to know more about each book, clicking on the covers will take you to that book’s Goodreads page.

I’m excited about all of these, but which ones am I most excited about?

  • Where Hope Begins by Catherine West – Two of my closest friends have already read this one and assure me that a) I will love it and b) I will go through a mountain of tissues while reading.
  • Becoming the Talbot Sisters by Rachel Linden – I am so intrigued by this plot!
  • Her Texas Cowboy by Jill Lynn – Jill creates such great characters, and I’m particularly excited to meet Moose!
  • The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck – her time slip novels are always on my favorites list & I’m anticipating this one will be as well
  • Five Days in Skye re-release by Carla Laureano – Anytime I have an excuse to spend time with #myJames, I’m a happy fangirl.
  • Bookishly Ever After by Sarah Monzon – the cover alone has me hooked and the premise seals the deal. To the top of my TBR list, it goes!
  • Carolina Mercy by Regina Merrick – I really enjoyed her first book and I’m super excited to read book two!
  • Once Upon a Laugh collection – Um… hello? This one is a no-brainer. Did you see that list of authors??? I know the synopsis of Jessica Patch’s “Under the Honey Moon” and Pepper Basham’s “Jane by the Book” and I just want to drop everything and read this NOW. Slight problem: they haven’t finished writing them yet so I’ll have to be patient. Grrr… lol.
  • Freedom’s Kiss by Sarah Monzon – I love love love her time slip stories – and her heroes (both eras). Can’t wait for this next Carrington brother’s story!
  • Enduring Love by Toni Shiloh – I am totally invested in these characters from her Maple Run series!
  • Just Let Go by Courtney Walsh – Courtney has become one of my new favorite authors in the past year and I’m really looking forward to this next book!

  1. I’m ridiculously excited about Becky’s – as I always am! Also, “Heartland” sounds interesting and I believe I’ve seen lovely reviews (and therefore feel like I’ve gotten a personal recommendation) for this author’s books on Rel’s website. OHMYGOSH!! Also, I didn’t know Tammy had a new book coming so soon after her spring release. CANNOT. WAIT. Already excited about that one (and also, these three I mention are sporting favorite covers).

Oh, and I’m also about to read Courtney’s new book AND am fangirl excited about the re-issue of Debra’s Austen re-tellings. I own the oldie covers, but did that stop me from preordering these re-issues? Nope. 😀

Fun list, as always, Carrie. 🙂

    • Carrie

hahaha! thanks, Rissi! I have not read Debra’s retellings yet, but they are def. on my TBR list now. And totally, if Rel loves a book, then i need to read it! 😀

    • Kimberly’s books are FABULOUS!!

Debra’s retellings are fun – I read the originals years ago, but the one set in Australia? It needed some better research 😉 I really hope they have tweaked the cultural errors, but that will probably only matter to Australians.

And as you probably know, I loved Falling For You even more than True to You 🙂

  2. Megan Hamsher

BELLA NOTTE Book 6 by Heather Gray

Yep.. Potter’s House Books are on my list to read too.

Liz Issacson has a 3 coming out in Brush Creek Brides series in June…
A Marriage for the Marine: A Fuller Family Novel (Brush Creek Brides Book 7)
A Fiancé for the Firefighter: A Fuller Family Novel (Brush Creek Brides Book 8)
A Treasure for the Trooper: A Fuller Family Novel (Brush Creek Brides Book 9)

    Oops…my TBR just got bigger.
I’m already excited for Falling for You and I love it’s cover. I hope it comes out on Audible.

  4. Holy cow!!! I’m going to need a new notebook this week! My TBR mountain is already huge and you just blew it up!! ???This doesn’t include the Amish books I’m waiting on!!!??

    As always, awesome list Carrie!!?

    • Carrie

hahaha I thought of you as soon as I posted this – “Susan had better get out her list!” lol

  5. Tracey Hagwood

Oh, all the pretty covers! I feel like I landed in a dream world full of books I want to reach through the screen and grab up (like Supermarket Sweep I guarantee I could clear all these beauties off the shelf in a minute or less, lol)

    My favorite covers:
Falling for You, Honeysuckle Dreams, The Love Letter, Just Let Go and Freedom’s Kiss

We are going to have a fabulous spring and summer reading ALL THE BOOKS!!

  6. Becky Wade, Courtney Walsh, and Sarah Monzon books are my really want to read and also my favorite covers. Summer reading is going to be great!

  7. Carrie,
I like all your favorites, many of them are mine too!
Right now I’m just trying to get through some of my “planet” so I can justify getting more books. hehe!

  8. Oh, my, so many amazing new releases! I just went and added most of these to my TBR which is now the size of a mountain. 🙂 I’ve been looking forward to Bookishly Ever After but a lot of these sound so adorable! I can’t wait to read them! I hope you enjoy all of these! Happy reading!

    Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday!

  9. sarahmonzonwrites

So many books!!!! I love the covers of the Jane Austen retelling relreleases. They’re so pretty!

  10. Sarah

Becky Wade’s books always get read as soon as they are released! Rachel Hauck and Denise Hunter also jump to the top of my TBR pile.

  11. Gloria

How exciting to see all the fun books. I have read a few of them and have a few more to read. Storm Front was great. Honeysuckle Dreams is so sweet! Looking forward to some of the others, especially Rachel Hauck’s book and Becky Wade’s. I must check out some of the others. Thanks, Carrie! (I think)

  12. Rebecca Maney

For once in my life, I might be ahead of you . . . . I have actually read “Bookishly Ever After” by Sarah Monzon and five-starred it so fast! It’s great! And I think I actually cried real tears, which is unusual for me.

  13. I am looking forward to so many of these books! I’ve read Things I Never Told You, and I was a blubbering mess afterwards. I am finishing up Storm Front now, and Susan May Warren doesn’t hold back at all! I am so glad to see Kristin Billerbeck has a new book and I am so thrilled for her, and us!
Each season brings some wonderful books to read.
    Great list Carrie!

  14. oh my! You have so many awesome books here!! 🙂 I just finished reading (netgalley) Falling For You…and yeah…it’s even better than it’s absolutely gorgeous cover! 😉 I can’t wait to read Beth Vogt’s book. And Kristin Billerbeck’s looks good too. And I could go on and on…suffice to say that my TBR is also neverending!! 🙂 (But on the flip side–wouldn’t it be terrible if we’d run out of good books?!) Happy Reading!

    • Carrie

yes! We certainly don’t want to run out of good books! 😀 It’s killing me not to read Falling For You but I’ve been advised, given my dad’s multiple myeloma, that i might want to sit this book out :-/ But I know it’s just wonderful!!

  15. Too many fabulous choices! So, I’ll just say May. I’m most wanting to read too many of the books of May (and I need to check my tissue supply for Cathy West’s!).
