A stalker on her tail…
The Security Specialists at her side
Security expert Wilder Flynn wastes no time putting behavioral expert Cosette LaCroix under his 24/7 protection when her stalker finds her in Atlanta.
Wilder keeps Cosette close to guard her from the quickly escalating threats and attacks.
But can he accomplish the mission without breaking his strict code against dating employees? Or putting his heart and life at risk?
Hi Jessica! Welcome back to the blog!
Jessica: Tough one. Netflix b/c it has some Hallmark on there. 🙂 Win-win!
Carrie: Oh very diplomatic answer – I like!
Jessica: Music. I can’t handle a day without it in some form. I’d rather read my books and put my own imagined voices on the characters.
Carrie: Yes! me too!
Jessica: OVER! There is no other way.
Carrie: Agree to disagree? Toilet paper is serious business, people! lol
Jessica: The ocean, though mountains are beautiful. I prefer sand on my toes and the sounds of waves, the taste of salt. Definitely ocean.
Carrie: I do love the sounds of waves but I could do without the sand and salt 😛
Q: Tell me some good books you’ve read recently!
Jessica: I finished an old chick lit by Siri Mitchell called The Cubicle Next Door and I loved it so much I almost just started it over as soon as I finished and I never even think about doing that with a book. I LOVED it!
Carrie: oh how fun! I’m gonna have to add that one to my TBR!
Q: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever Googled while researching a book?
Jessica: I just recently researched how to cure human skin into pelts. Oh yes I did. 🙂
Carrie: … Here is where I mention that it’s totally fine if you want to put the toilet paper OVER on the roll. No problem for me AT ALL. lol
Q: What surprised you about Dangerous Obsession or your characters as you wrote their story?
Jessica: Definitely Wilder’s passion for his hair and the kind of cut he kept. It didn’t fit with his military background, and his hidden talent really threw me for a loop! I didn’t see that coming.
Carrie: Speaking of Wilder….
Q: I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about Wilder… and his hair. LOL. First, is that really his dangerous obsession? ? And ok my real question – what makes him such an appealing character?
Jessica: LOL It is MY dangerous obsession. Haha. Wilder is what I call a total package (even with his flaws). He’s charming and flirty but devoted and loyal. He’s guarded but when he decides to love it’s wild and free and for one woman only. He’s noble and honest, but he’s fierce and willing to cross moral lines to protect loved ones. He won’t bat an eye if he has to put a gun to someone’s head for answers. He wouldn’t actually blow someone away, but there are times he’s not sure because he’s so fierce about the people he loves. Wilder is logical but knows how to play into whimsy. He can say no easily but he’s a spoiler too. He’s such a man’s man, but then he has this tender side with his hidden talent, with children and in loving Cosette—like cakes and cookie and caresses. #FlynnfortheWin
Carrie: Ok, this hidden talent is intriguing me 😀
Q: Were there any songs that inspired you as you wrote Dangerous Obsession?
Jessica: Most definitely. I create a playlist for every book I write. Many of those songs stay on repeat for days, weeks even. One I kept on repeat was David Archuletta’s Just to be with You https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2AHsfytKoE And another one was: Somewhere in Between by August Wilhelmsson. It’s instrumental and I used that a lot during the black moments as musical score. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvcACqMi6Ds
Carrie: Oh those dreaded black moments… 😛
Q: What do you most want readers to take away from Dangerous Obsession?
Jessica: That belonging to someone doesn’t mean possession as in property but being thoroughly loved. We belong to God. And when we marry, we belong to our spouse. It can be a beautiful thing. It should be a beautiful thing.
Carrie: I love that! yes!
Thank you so much for taking time to talk with me! 🙂 Before we say goodbye for today, tell us what‘s coming up next for you.
Jessica: I’m working on book 2, Exposed Secrets, in the Storm Chaser series. The first book releases this December, Cold Case Christmas. I’m also working on a romantic comedy Christmas novella which will be the 2nd in a Honeyhaven novella series.
Carrie: yay! yay!

Hi Danielle! Romantic tension is my favorite, so I love to write it! Thanks for coming by!
I really enjoy romantic suspense books and this book looks good.
Thank you! Thanks for leaving a comment!
I love suspense with a little romance. That being said the fact that Wilder is a great sounding book hero…a man’s man with a tender side.
Yes!!!
I’m so intrigued! I’ve seen Jessica’s name before but haven’t had the opportunity to read any of her books. . .
Oh you must!!
I’m curious to read about what a “behavior expert” does…who does she work for? someone in crime? someone in special education? someone in marriage counseling? Yep, I want to read this book! 🙂
Yep! Me too!
What interests me about this book? Wilder. Flynn. 🙂
Haha! Yes. Ma’am. lol
Love Jessica’s books!
Me too!!
Wilder! I need to meet him 😉
Indeed! 😉
I always love suspense stories and this sounds like a great book to take to the beach. Love reading Love Inspired books and the faith message woven into the story.
Me too!
Who really challenges who … the guy or the gal?
Haha! Yes
The title. Also the intriguing hero!
What interests me is if these two get in to a romantic relationship and how Cosette is protected.
Yes – me too!
I’m looking forward to reading this book. I love good, clean, romantic suspense novels!
You’ll love Jessica’s books!
Jessica is a new to me author. But I always love a good suspense novel.
Jessica is awesome!
I’m so excited about this book and Jessica is a new author for me. Wilder seems like the perfect hero for this book.
Love the cover!!
Yay!
There are two things which entice me about this book: it is Christian suspense and the cover is fantastic!
I love that cover too!
