Top Ten Tuesday: Book Series I’d Binge Watch on Hallmark Mysteries

Posted September 4, 2018 by meezcarrie in contemporary, cozy mystery, historical, mystery/suspense, Top Ten Tuesday / 28 Comments

Happy Tuesday, dear readers! Today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is all about binge-worthy TV shows and/or movies. But, other than the Hallmark Mysteries channel on in the background while I’m working on the 9,582 things on my to-do list, I don’t really watch much TV. I do however love watching Garage Sale Mysteries, Murder She Baked (when it had new movies), Darrow & Darrow, and Aurora Teagarden. Most of those are based on cozy mystery book series. Sooooo I started thinking: Which cozy mystery book series would I love to binge watch on Hallmark Mysteries in the future?

And thus a post was born 😉

  1. I’ve read Sandra Orchard’s series, and a few of these others I have in my TBR ebook stash! Hallmark really should ask you for recommendations – they have no idea what a great fan base they could be tapping into!!

Umm, I think Hallmark should hire you as a consultant. These are great suggestions. I would also add the Amory Ames series by Ashley Weaver. It is similar in style to the Drew Farthering series only with an amateur female detective.

  3. Julianna Deering/DeAnna Julie Dodson

Ooooh, does that mean you can get Drew on TV, Meez Carrie? Sign him up! 😀

Thanks for the mention. It’s an honor as always. 😀

I’m a HUGE and unabashed Hallmark Mysteries lovah! Was sad when Garage Sale Mysteries new season ended, but am very much looking forward to Darrow & Darrow. I’ve loved Tom Cavanagh since his “Ed” days. Anywho…I’d love to see Eva Gates’ Lighthouse Library Mysteries and Vicki Delany’s Sherlock Holmes Bookshop mysteries on Hallmark. I got hooked on both these series thanks to you. No, I mean it….THANKS!!!:-)

    AHHHHH I LOVE THIS POST!!!

And also I need to read more cozy mysteries, like pronto. I LOVE cozy mysteries.

I’d freak if the Drew Farthing Mysteries turned into movies. If they casted that JUST RIGHT it’d be AMAZING!

That casting part is SO important. I’d just die if they did the series and did it badly. O.o

OH the pain to an author’s heart. Or even the reader’s heart. I don’t think I’d be able to handle that.

They’d need an expert when they cast…??
        How about you?

        • Julianna Deering/DeAnna Julie Dodson

Heh heh, I’d love to, but I’m probably the worst choice. I’ve always wanted to make movies, but I have no experience or training, and I’d probably make a dog’s breakfast of the whole thing. However, I’d love to sit in on the process and see how it’s done and maybe have a little veto power — like if they wanted to cast Will Ferrell as Drew or something unspeakable like that. O.o

All in favor of giving Julianna Deering ALLLL the veto power, say I!

            “I”!

The “I”’s have it. From this moment on you have all the power to veto.

I think that it would be fun to visit South Cove and Coffee, Books, and More bookshop in Lynn’s books. Also, Sandra Orchard’s books would make a fun movie/show..and maybe the Kaper series would be fun.
