Top Ten Tuesday: Pretty Books I Want to Buy For My Collection

Posted November 13, 2018 by meezcarrie in Top Ten Tuesday / 16 Comments

Happy Tuesday! I have been so busy the past couple of weeks that I haven’t been able to participate in Top Ten Tuesday so I’m very happy to be back at it this week šŸ™‚

Today’s theme is “Bookish Items/Merchandise I’d Like to Own”. I got to chat with Modern Mrs. Darcy for Hope By The Book’s launch issue, and she said something to me that really stuck out. You’ll have to buy the issue (shameless plug, link in the sidebar lol) to see all that she said but I’ll give you a little sneak peek: “…it is not a sin to have books in your home just because they are pretty.”

So, in the spirit of Modern Mrs. Darcy and Hope By the Book’s launch issue, here are the pretty books I want to buy just because they’re pretty šŸ™‚

Oh if only I had enough moolah to buy all these lovelies… alas, I shall have to settle for drooling over them here šŸ™‚

What about you? Which of this pretty books would you love to have?

Fun post! One of the things that I loved about my Aunt’s house, the mansion my daughter Kristian called it and it wasn’t, was all the pretty books she had around the house. I’d love to have pretty books around just because they’re pretty.

I love the illustrated Harry Potter books, and anything the Folio Society has in their catalog. That Little House set is lovely, but the price!

This is so my thing, pretty books! I loved looking at all of these and daydreaming my selections. Juniper Books had some amazing ones.

That dark blue Narnia one was calling to me so I looked into it. Only $20 for a leather 800 page book, sounded like a deal to me! That’s probably why no Barnes and Noble within a 100 miles of me has it and it’s out of stock online. The dream continues…

  4. Love these books! This weekend I saw some adorable children’s gift books inspired by classics. So much fun. My list includes a couple of things near to your heart! šŸ˜‰

The pretty pastel ones, the Jane Austen ones, the Little House is adorable! They are all beautiful.

I’m coveting The Secret Garden book! It’s one of my favorite stories from my childhood, and blue’s my favorite color.
