Our home and its design can encourage spiritual growth in our hearts.
Heart and Home is a short devotional book with daily devotions for 90 days. The devotionals seek to draw clear connection between the basics of interior design and scripture that encourages spiritual growth within our hearts. The devotionals inspire women to have a captivating heart and home. Included in each devotional is an applicable design tip and photographs. Example devotional topics include unity and harmony, negative space, flow, focal point, and balance.
This devotional includes four-color photographs of home interiors throughout the book.
I love this little book! It’s packed full of beautiful full-color photos, many of which perfectly match the design style I prefer. Each day’s devotional also ties in a spiritual life application to a design concept, accompanied by a helpful design tip and a bible verse.
For the design challenged among us (I’m looking at you, self) the concepts are still easily accessible and applicable and you’ll want to file away all those wonderful tips and photos for future use/inspiration. The spiritual application is simple, delivered in short snippets perfect for a few moments over your morning jolt of caffeine, but profound at the same time – covering topics such as focal point, balance, hygge, clutter, etc. Everything has an application to design as well as our own lives, hearts, souls, and/or minds.
Bottom Line: If you’re a fan of HGTV, or you know someone who is, this is the perfect little devotional book for you! Meaningful devotions, handy design tips, and beautiful photos make every page a delight – definitely a book worth keeping out on the coffee table and referring to again and again.
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.)
My Rating: 5 stars / love it!

What about you? What sort of design style do you prefer? I’m a farmhouse cottage (with a bit of industrial thrown in) kind of gal, though you can’t tell by looking at my house lol
I met Victoria at the Mid-South Christian Writers Conference in March…great workshop presenter! My daughter is an interior designer, and I planned to get a copy of this for her. Thank you for reminding me this book released! Life has been a little crazy here, so this fell off my radar.
totally understandable!
I, too, was blessed by meeting Victoria at the Mid-South CWC! She did a great session, and this looks like an amazing book! Great review!

This book sounds appealing; my home could use some interior design improvement and the related Bible study insights would be welcome, too!
This book looks so fabulous. I can always use some insights into decorating.
I enjoy books like this that help me make my home my happy place, after all, I spend most of my time there.
i wish i had a better eye for home design/decor so mine could be too lol
I don’t know a lot about interior design but this seems to be the place to start. I do like having a bit of a rustic look.
me too!
Traditional is my favorite. Love your book.
