Welcome to the Blog Blitz for The Mosaic Collection, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours! Today I am delighted to welcome Sara Davison to the blog to chat about her cornerstone message for her The Mosaic Collection novel Lost Down Deep, which releases in April 2020.

For His glory…
The Mosaic Collection is an international community of women authors who use faith-based fiction to touch hearts with the good news that Christ’s finished work on the cross has made us one family, and to nurture affection for the people God has placed within our circles of influence, so that the grace and glory of God may become visible and personal to everyone we meet.

…and our good
We are sisters, a beautiful mosaic united by the love of God through the blood of Christ. We have experienced the redemptive, restorative power of God’s grace in our marriages and families, and we believe our God is able to heal, restore and redeem our brokenness. His love fills us with the courage to persevere, and to offer others a Christ-like compassion that is full of His wisdom and grace.

My Cornerstone Message From The Collection

God never promised believers that life would be easy, he promised us that he would never leave us or forsake us. Whatever we are going through, he is with us and we are never alone.

I hope and pray that my message encourages readers to remember that they are not alone when they are going through tough times. We often don’t understand why God allows certain things to happen to us or those we love, but we can trust that he is good, that he is sovereign and in control, and that he will never leave us.

A Deeper Dive into My Cornerstone Message

Recently I have had the heartbreaking privilege of walking alongside two close friends whose marriages were ending. In each case, my friend had no desire to get divorced and had never believed she would find herself in this situation. Unfortunately, no other recourse was possible due to horrific breaches of trust and lack of remorse. I grieved for and with my friends, and reminded them (when the timing was right) that God was still good and that he would walk this path with them and somehow redeem what they were going through for his glory.

In times like these, when your heart is heavy for people you love, and there are no answers to the questions they are asking, sometimes the only comfort lies in knowing you are not alone. As C.S. Lewis said, “I know now, Lord, why you utter no answer. You are yourself the answer. Before your face questions die away. What other answer would suffice?” Very often God doesn’t answer our questions, or the questions of those we care for so deeply. Then all we can do is trust that his heart aches with ours, that he is always with us, and that one day he will set all things right.

  1. Thanks for the reminder, Sara. When life is good, we just assume God is there (if we think of Him at all) – but when things go south, that’s when we REALLY can know He is there, and lean in to Him for help.

    • Absolutely Stacy. A blessing from God is anything that draws us closer to him, even those things that definitely don’t feel like blessings at the time from our finite perspective. It’s all about trusting that God is good, and He is always with us, whatever we are going through. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Meez Carrie, you are a rock star!! Thank you for having me on your blog, and for all you do to support and encourage Christian fiction authors!! And thank you to everyone who stopped by to check out this post today. Don’t forget to enter the draw to win an amazing prize package!
