She needs his protection…

But can he protect his heart?

Radio personality Kelly Bonner isn’t convinced she needs a bodyguard, especially one as intensely good-looking as Detective Donovan Walsh. Yet beneath Donovan’s tough-guy facade is a man struggling to raise his sister’s children. A man Kelly could care about…if he’d let her. Now she’ll have to find a way to convince her big, bad bodyguard that his family—and his heart—are safe in her hands.

I can’t say enough how endearing Falling for Her Bodyguard is! Vastine has created a cast of characters that will take over your heart and keep you smiling throughout the story. The added element of suspense involving Kelly’s stalker prevents the story from becoming too sweet, and the Nashville setting almost serves as a supporting character all on its own.

You can’t help but adore Kelly. No one can help but adore her. She’s incredibly genuine and warm – the type of person who can put just about anyone immediately at ease and charmed. Her stories of kitchen catastrophes and her guileless way of living life (though it’s to her detriment sometimes) had me grinning more than once. And for all his best efforts to the contrary, Donovan can’t help but adore her either. Not to mention the instant (and mutual) adoration for Kelly from his grieving niece and nephew, too. Some of my favorite scenes are between Kelly and Donovan’s nephew Graham, and I frequently had a lump in my throat reading those. (I’m not crying, you’re crying.)

Bottom Line: Falling for Her Bodyguard is swoony and sweet with just enough suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat and riveted to the story.  Each of the primary characters (Kelly, Donovan, Avery and Graham) are solidly drawn and multi-dimensional, and you’ll fall in love with each one. This story is delightful from beginning to end – a must-read for fans of sweet contemporary romance!

Thank you for your review on “Falling for Her Bodyguard” by Amy Vastine. Sounds like a fabulous book and one that I would greatly love to have the opportunity to read. A guy can’t be anything but great to take care children other than his own. I think that would make him great in protecting anyone. Great cover!
