Top Ten Tuesday: My Fave Traits in Heroes & Heroines in Books

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today’s theme for Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl) is Character Traits I Love (submitted by Hannah @ Books Life and Other Oddities). I decided to split these between some fave traits in heroes and heroines that I love when I encounter them on the pages.

There’s a lot (no one here is surprised… i just can’t help myself) so if you need to, just zero in on your fave traits instead of plodding through them all. Of course, I also won’t judge you if you look at each one because – BOOKS 😀

Yep, it’s true. I love me a flirty hero. Check out these books if you do, too!

Flirty is good, but sometimes a quieter, maybe even more endearing bookworm hero is needed. Meet guys like this on the pages of these books!

Nearly all the heroes in this post could find a place here, but there are a few that are memorably so. Find them in these reads!

Again, most of the heroes in today’s post could fit into all of these categories, this one included. But here are some especially kind & patient heroes to meet!

They might not have always been honorable, but they certainly are now (and some of them were all along). May I introduce you to these fellas sure to set you swooning!

While I do have a lot of fave heroines, I only have a couple consistent traits that will endear me to a heroine forever.

Yep. This trait isn’t exclusive to the guys in my … uh… book. Here are some of my fave bookworm heroines who would totally be my BFFs in real life

Along with a bookish heroine, there’s just about nothing i love more than a heroine who can make me laugh often throughout the book. Here are some of my faves!

What about you? What are some of your fave traits for heroes and heroines in fiction? Do you have other heroes & heroines that belong on this list?

  1. Aww! So many good traits. Love quirky, and bookish is a must! Protective, honorable, and kind also super important, and lovely to read about. 🙂

  2. Haley Resseguie

Great list! I love that bookish is a character trait because those are some of my favorite. I would also add brooding as a character trait in the heroes. It sounds weird but with heroes like Jake Porter from A Love Like Ours and Gray Delacroix from The Spice King, it’s definitely attractive.

  3. Melissa Romine

AHHH, Holt in Concealed Identity! Yes!! I agree!
I must like those flirtatious heroes, too, because I have read and enjoyed all those examples you gave. 🙂
