Top Ten Tuesday: Book Titles That Had Me At Hello

Happy Tuesday, friends! Today’s theme for Top Ten Tuesday linkup with That Artsy Reader Girl is Extraordinary Book Titles (submitted by Elise @ A Book and a Cup) … or, as I like to call it, Book Titles That Had Me At Hello. These are books where the title grabbed my attention right away – and in fact I may have picked it up or added it to my TBR list based on the title alone.

Sometimes, the right title is all it takes to pique my interest. Other times it’s the cover. Other times it’s the back cover copy. But chances are if you have a clever title (bonus points for literary or bookish references), I’ll be more than willing to overlook a so-so cover and/or back cover copy.

Confession: narrowing down this list was HARD so, suffice it to say, there were several more I could have listed lol.

In looking at these titles, I love a) how many Jane Austen references there are (who knew that was an attention-grabber for me? lol) and b) the mix of different genres and authors and publishers.

What about you? What are some titles that you love? Which of these titles most gets your attention?

  1. Rebecca Maney

The Pursuit of Tamsen Littlejohn by Lori Benton, The Solace of Water by Elizabeth Younts, The Curse of Misty Wayfair by Jamie Jo Wright . . .. . . (I must like titles that begin with “the”) 🙂
