Happy Saturday! Please join me in welcoming Carol Underhill to the blog to chat about her Christmas novella Angelica’s Christmas Wish!
One of five siblings raised on a farm, Carol has a large extended family. She attended a little country church where she learned Bible verses and songs that have stuck with her for life. She has three adult children who inspire her to chase her dreams. Her household includes a spoiled black Lab and several rescued cats. Her favorite things are reading, spending time with family and listening to music. She likes quiet mornings with a cup of hazelnut coffee.
You can connect with Carol on her website, Facebook and Twitter.
ANGELICA’S CHRISTMAS WISH
GENRE: Inspirational Christmas Fiction
PUBLISHER: Anaiah Press
RELEASE DATE: November 15, 2019
PAGES: 193
A near tragedy brings two strangers together, making a child’s Christmas wish come true.
Serena Cole wakes up in the hospital with amnesia. She is being called a hero, but she doesn’t recall putting herself in the path of a careening car to save a little girl. Nor does she remember losing her daughter and husband in a car accident before she moved to Chicago.
Mark Harper, the child’s widowed father, isn’t looking for romance, but the beautiful stranger captures his interest. When no one steps up to identify her, he feels responsible for her safety. When she is released from the hospital, he brings her to the home he shares with his daughter. He doesn’t realize that his decision may make his daughter’s Christmas wish come true.

Hi Carol! Welcome to the blog!
Carol: Definitely coffee. I didn’t start drinking coffee until I was 37 and commuting to work an hour each way. Now I can hardly start my day without it.
Carrie: Hmmm maybe there’s hope for me to like coffee yet…. I’m 42 though. Hmmm. It’s probably too late LOL
Carol: Music. I downloaded a music app for my phone and created a playlist for every mood.
Carrie: i love creating playlists 😀
Carol: Mountains. One of my favorite memories is time spent at a mountain retreat. I’m not a swimmer, and I’m afraid of sharks, so there’s that, too.
Carrie: hahaha I’m with you!
Carol: Ebook. I have an app on my phone so I can take it anywhere. And I like the lighted screen to make reading easier.
Carrie: As much as I read, being able to enlarge the font on my kindle really helps! I still love walking by and petting all my print books though 😉
Q: Around here I like to say that reading is my superpower. If YOU had a superpower, what would it be?
Carol: My superpower would be to insert myself into a book and meet the characters.
Carrie: ooo fun!
Q: Other than the Bible, what are five of your most cherished books?
Carol: Not My Will by Francena H. Arnold
The Endless Steppe by Esther Hautzig
An Untamed Land by Lauraine Snelling
The Ark by Margot Benary-Isbert
A Lantern in Her Hand by Bess Streeter Aldrich
Carrie: looks like a great list!
Q: If I sneaked a peek in your purse right now (which I would never do, I promise!), what would it tell me about you?
Carol: That I’m a minimalist, and organized. Since I never zip up my purse, it says that I am an open book with my emotions and struggles.
Carrie: oh i like that perspective!
Q: What surprised you about your book or your characters as you wrote Angelica’s Christmas Wish?
Carol: I was surprised by the humor that developed in my characters. The hero’s daughter is a drama queen and has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. The hero’s former mother-in-law lives with him and his daughter. I didn’t really think much about her character until I got involved in writing the story. She enjoys teasing the hero and doing a little matchmaking.
Carrie: oh i can’t wait to meet her!
Q: What do you most want readers to take away from Angelica’s Christmas Wish?
Carol: I’d like the readers to see that there can be joy after heartache. When we lose a loved one, we can become stuck in our anger and grief. Love can heal our hearts and help us find peace.
Carrie: Amen.
Thank you so much for taking time to talk with me! 🙂 Before we say goodbye for today, tell us what‘s coming up next for you.
Carol:Thank you for having me on your blog. Anaiah Press will be publishing my sweet contemporary romance about a billionaire.
Carrie: yay!

What about you? What interests you most about Angelica’s Christmas Wish and/or Carol Underhill?
Such a lovely story. Joy after heartache.
This book sounds great! I love Christmas stories!
I want to know how the book ends…how does the main character get her memory back? slowly? in an instant? or does she ever not get it back? (I met a lady who was injured in a car accident, years ago, and she never did get part of her memory back!
The author is new to me. She mentioned humor in her characters. The selfless act of saving the child.
Amnesia is interesting to me. How do you cope with chunks of your life is missing? How do you deal with the same tragedy a second time like it is the first?
Sounds like a good warming story. I like how it’s put together.
I love amnesia stories, as long as they’re fictional. Reading about people who find love and happiness after the worst of tragedies is always good.
This story sounds very interesting to me. I can hardly wait to find out how everything works out. Thanks for the giveaway.
