HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Saying goodbye to another year full of highs and lows and everything in between. There have been so many great books out this year (again!) but life prevented me from reading as much as I wanted to (again!) – I only read 158 books this year as opposed to 235 in 2018 and 345 in 2017. Needless to say, there were SO MANY BOOKS that I wasn’t able to get to this year. Wail!!!  Here are some of my very fave reads from the books I did read in 2019 – not all were released in 2019, though; some were tag-alongs from years past that I hadn’t read yet. Today we’re looking at the books by genre, and tomorrow I’ll be talking about my fave reads by ‘the feels’.

And yes, before you ask, even though I read way less books than i usually do, so many of the books I did read were A-MAZ-ING and narrowing this list down (yes, this is narrowed down) was pure torture!

(The covers are either linked directly to my reviews of these books OR to Amazon (using my affiliate link)

These are some excellent reads, Carrie! I’ve read quite a few on your list but still need to read Amanda Dyke’s book. The most surprising read of this year for me was “Where I Was Planted”. Absolutely loved the book and loved my introduction to the author’s writing.

  2. Susan Snodgrass

I’ve enjoyed quite a few of your faves! I’m doing my list tomorrow. Maybe one day I can be as good as you on your blog! You’re my blog hero.

Great lists! Some of my faves, some I haven’t read yet.
I have yet to read any books by Mimi Matthews. But I see you’ve got quite a few of hers here on your list…I’m convinced! 😉 Adding to my TBR!

Carrie! Oh, my goodness! Thank you for including Missing Mercy! Faith and Mercy would be thrilled!

  9. Carrie!! I am so thrilled to see Sweet Melody included. Thank you very much. What an honor.
You’ve also given me so many suggestions for books I simply must read in 2020.
I’ve made my list of favorites for this year as well. Sweet on You, Wyatt and The Rancher’s Unexpected Baby are my favorite contemporary romance titles. In the dual timeline genre, I really loved Rachel Hauck’s The Memory House.
    Thanks again and happy reading!
