Hi June! Welcome to the blog!

June: I love the warm, barefoot days of summer.

Carrie: I love winter… but not barefoot 🙂

June: I love dogs. They’re man’s best friend, and cats are such aloof creatures.

Carrie: I agree!

June: Definitely the Hallmark Channel since the movies provide great ideas for my contemporary romances.

Carrie: they are sweet, aren’t they? 🙂

June: This is a great question that put a smile on my face. Over!

Carrie: haha! Good!

Q: Around here I like to say that reading is my superpower. If YOU had a superpower, what would it be?

June: It would be a magic wand to propelled my novels to the New York Times Best Seller list. But mostly, God is my superpower.

Carrie: haha He’s a good superpower to have 🙂 The other one is probably overrated anyway 😉

Q: When you walk into a bookstore, where do you head first?

June: I always head to the section that displays Christian fiction. I look first in the end times category then turn to the contemporary shelf.

Carrie: The Christian fiction section is getting more and more difficult to find in most bookstores :-/ I’m surprised you are finding some that actually have categories! LOL. Clearly I need to go to these bookstores of which you speak!

Q: Writing spaces are as diverse as authors and books. Where is your favorite space to write?

June: I actually have no choice in where I write my novels. My husband and I travel full time in our RV, and I’m limited to my kitchen table. But I’ve never had a problem. I have plenty of storage room in the wide drawers below the seats, and I store my printer on the other side. I’ve basically monopolized the area, and when we eat dinner. I move my computer on top of the printer. I’m pretty sure my space hasn’t hindered me because as of today, I’ve written twenty-one novels and a devotional, most of them in the RV, and I’m working on number twenty-two.

Carrie: It’s definitely working out well for you!!

Q: Which character has been the most difficult to write?

June: I wrote a book called Ryan’s Father which my current publisher is rereleasing. Ryan is a young teacher who was raised by a less than moral mother and absent father. When he met Jesus as his Savior during high school, everything changed—most everything. Ryan discovered same sex feelings he knew weren’t pleasing to the Lord, but no amount of prayer brought him freedom. Writing in Ryan’s POV was extremely difficult. I didn’t want him to be gay, and my critique partner had to continually remind me I shouldn’t give him a break. He had to suffer before he came face to face with the Lord and His healing power.

Q: What surprised you about For All Eternity or your characters as you wrote their story?

June: My book, For All Eternity, was the very first story the Lord placed on my heart and the novel that propelled me into writing Christian fiction. In the story, my hero belongs to a religious cult that mirrors Christianity and deceives the Christian heroine as she falls in love with him. I truly thought I’d be angry with JD, but it turns out many times, I felt sorry for him and wanted him to know the Truth.

Carrie: Because you know the Truth will set him free ♥

Q: What is one of your favorite quotes from For All Eternity & why do you love it?

“JD bolted up in bed and glanced at the clock on his nightstand. Four a.m. His heart raced. The dream engulfed him like warm water. He had to discover the Source of the knocking. A yearning bubbled up in him. He needed to know, longed to understand Who knocked on the old door. He lay back down and hugged his pillow. Maybe if he went to sleep again…”

JD had just awoken from a dream. The dream adds a bit of a supernatural touch to the story and hints of things to come.

Carrie: I’m intrigued!

Thank you so much for taking time to talk with me! 🙂 Before we say goodbye for today, tell us what‘s coming up next for you.

June:I’m in the process of writing a Christmas novella which will be published in 2020. After that, I’m planning a romantic suspense entitled The Inn at Cranberry Cove.

Carrie: ooo i love that title!

  1. Love this author and books.
Love the title. I love that this was the first book the Lord layed upon your heart to write. Sounds amazing. Would love to win the print version, read it and then review it. I also love how love triumphs over a lie.
I think it’s interesting and amazing that when you’re in a bookstore, you head first to the Christian books. Not to many people do.
What made you choose and use the characters you did and what made you choose their careers? Also, What made you use a man that wasn’t of faith fall in love with a woman of faith?
This sounds interesting, intriguing, suspenseful. I like these kind of books.
    OH I hope I win.

  2. Carrie, I’m so sorry I didn’t see this link until now. Thanks so much for having me on your lovely blog. I’m pleased to share my books with your reader.
