Happy February – official (according to me) KissingBooks month! And today we’re kicking off what I hope will be an annual giveaway series, much like the Christmas Reads series I do each November/December. This LOVE STORIES giveaway series is thusly named for two reasons – first, because I love stories and second, because I love Love Stories.

Throughout the entire month of February, I’ll be spotlighting swoony Christian fiction & ‘clean read’ romances. Three cheers for KissingBooks!!! So… grab a fan or two, your trusty fainting couch, and maybe a freezer just to be safe and start making your KissingBooks tbr list! Oh… and did I mention there are GIVEAWAYS with EACH POST in this series??!! (Because authors are awesome!)

Continuing today’s kickoff with another of my fave people – Cynthia Herron & Her Hope Discovered!

HER HOPE DISCOVERED
SERIES:
Welcome to Ruby #1

GENRE: Inspirational Contemporary Romance
PUBLISHER: Mountain Brook Ink
RELEASE DATE: January 1, 2019
PAGES: 251

Is the sure thing worth risking for the possibility of maybe?

Charla Winthrop, a savvy business woman seeking a permanent lifestyle change in small-town Ruby, learns that things aren’t always what they appear when she takes up residence in a house steeped in charm and a hint of mystery. Rumor has it that Sam Packard the town carpenter is her go-to guy for home remodeling, but can Charla convince him to help her—with no strings attached, of course?

Alone far too long, Sam’s prayed that God would send him a wife and a mother for his daughters. However, the new Ruby resident is hardly what he imagined. A new place to call “home,” the possibility of what might be, and the answer to someone’s prayers unite this unlikely pair with the help of the town’s residents.

Nestled in the Ozarks’ hills and hollows is Ruby, Missouri, a quaint, cozy town where “neighbor” is merely another word for “friend.” Ruby will charm and delight as will her quirky, lovable characters who will steal your heart, but hand it right back—with whipped cream and a cherry on top. Savor your new friends’ sorrows and successes in the community where offbeat is perfect and mishaps and mayhem never tasted so good.

The cover attracted me first. It’s a beautiful color. But it sounds like a great romance book.

I like books set in small towns with quirky characters. I like the cover on Her Hope Discovered since it pictures the small town. Cynthia Herron is a new to me author. Thanks for the book suggestion.

I am always fascinated about we as humans go about planning our lives and then God reminds us of who I’d in charge.

The Ozarks are such a beautiful place to vacation! A book that takes place there would be good to read!

I love the small town charm and that the heroine isn’t what the hero was expecting to be the answer to his prayers. Sounds really sweet!

I am interested because it sounds like a lovely read. The cover art is pretty. I want to visit!
Best wishes to the author on the new release.

  8. My college roommate lives in the Ozarks and I’ve always wanted to visit her there. Reading a book with an Ozarks setting is the next best thing, right?

It has been great hearing about your book and although I am not the reader myself, my 2 sisters and 2 daughters are. They love hearing about the genre’s they like and me helping them get to find books they will enjoy. Thanks for sharing!

I was really drawn in by the question posed at the very start: “Is the sure thing worth risking for the possibility of maybe?” …Also, I’m captivated by the idea of a place “where ‘neighbor’ is merely another word for ‘friend.'” I’ve never really lived in an environment/neighborhood like that, so this alone makes the setting really sound like an entirely new world for me.
