It’s April! And that means it’s Reading Is My SuperPower’s birthday month! On April 10th, this blog will be 5 years old! THANK YOU for making this community such a fun place to be!! To show my appreciation, I’ve got a couple things in the works. Tune back in April 10th for a Birthday Bash MEGA Giveaway (45 books so far…and counting!!), but today I want to do a mini 5th Birthday giveaway of FIVE of my fave reads to one of my readers!
But first… a look at your fave posts in the past year (and watch my graphics change too, because some of these were first posted in one of the 1st four years but still get lots of traffic now lol)
(based on traffic for the past 365 days, not necessarily when it was posted)
your fave book reviews
your fave author chats
your fave top ten tuesday posts
Back in 2018, I shared the following (I promise, the giveaway is coming!), and I wanted to share it again to mark my 5th blog birthday too. Because it’s even more true now.
Thank you, dear readers, for your friendships.
Thank you for your encouragement.
Thank you for your comments and likes and follows and retweets.
Thank you for gushing over book boyfriends and kissingbooks with me!
Thank you for telling me YOUR favorite books & authors & must-reads
Thank you for laughing with me (and at me occasionally lol)
Thank you for praying for me and my family (my dad is doing pretty well, by the way!)
I love this blog tribe so much – and it wouldn’t be the same without YOU!
One of my fave things to talk about on ReadingIsMySuperPower is book boyfriends! To celebrate my 5 year blog birthday I’m giving away my FIVE fave book boyfriends – or their books anyway 😉
One winner will win a print copy of Five Days in Skye by Carla Laureano, Meant to Be Mine by Becky Wade, The Lady & the Lionheart by Joanne Bischof, The Cautious Maiden by Dawn Crandall, and Just the Way You Are by Pepper Basham. (Open internationally as long as Book Depository has the books and ships to your country. Void where prohibited by law.) This giveaway is subject to Reading Is My SuperPower’s giveaway policies which can be found here.
NOTE: In the event that the winner already has 1 or more of these 5 books, the duplicates may be substituted with another book by the same author(s). Enter via the Rafflecopter form below.

Thanks for all you do to promote CF books, my BFFFC! Love you!
i cannot WAIT to read that one!! Love you back, my dear BFFFC 🙂
Winnie, I was just going to say the same! I could just say mega-dittoes for the whole post you wrote! I’m not much for thinking in terms of book boyfriends but I will say Joshua kind of stole my heart!
oooo
My favourite book boyfriend is Roarke from JD Robb’s In Death series.
ooo i haven’t read that series yet!
Congratulations, Carrie! This blog is why my Kindle is one big exploding TBR pile (not totally a bad thing), because I know that if you like a book, then I will like it too. Please keep on blogging!

Happy anniversary!!! You and your blog is amazing. 🎉🎉🎉

oooo yes Logan is yummy too
Thanks for offering the giveaway! So glad Lady and the Lionheart are in the mix because he would definitely be one of my book boyfriends!
he’s so wonderful, isn’t he?
Meant to be Mine is one of my favorites as is Joshua from Before I Called You Mine. And sooo many more. How can I pick???
i still need to meet Joshua – can’t wait!
My favorite book boyfriend is usually the one featured in the current book I’m reading. So, I would have to say Jed from the “Secret, Book, and Scone Society” by Ellery Adam’s.
Congratulations on five years, great blog! Take care and stay safe and healthy.
ooo i love that book!
I am reading Becky Wade’s newest novella right now, and I would love to meet Eli!

Happy 5th Birthday! You have made my book reading life so much richer with your reviews and author interviews. I shall never forget your fainting couch!
awww thanks, Jeanne! hahaha that fainting couch needs an IG account or something LOL… ooo there’s an idea!
Congratulations on 5 years! That’s impressive!
thanks, Abigail!
From the most recent books I’ve read – Joshua Avery from Before I called you Mine, Leif Metcalfe from Kings Falling, Clay Paxton from The Land Beneath Us, Liam from Like Flames in the Night…..and I could go on and on…. 😉
I cannot WAIT to read all of those!
I’m a big Jane Austen fan, so I love all of her heroes, but especially Col. Brandon.
oooo yes! Love Colonel Brandon!
Some of my favorites are Travis Archer from Short-Straw Bride (Karen Witemeyer) and Gabe Chavez from One Final Breath (Lynn H. Blackburn).
oooo yes! Great choices!
Happy “Birthday” !
I have loved so many books and their characters through the years, but, unfortunately, as soon as I get into a book, I forget the character’s names from the previous book!
haha that’s easy to do!
Happy blog birthday. I don’t know what I’d say for a book boyfriend. I’ve never really thought of them that way.
you are missing out, girl! lol
Woohoo!! Happy blogiversary! It must have been a famous year for starting book blogs. My five year is in August!

Charlie Lionheart is my boyfriend, so I’m sorry, but you can’t have him, lol. And I live in Virginia, so I’m closer to him than you! (Roanoke is only about 1 1/2 hours away.)
LOL LOL Connie!
Logan Walker- Like Never Before by Melissa Tagg
Logan is a most excellent choice!
Congratulations, Carrie! Charlie Lionheart will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart.
Don’t have any. Happy birthday !
thanks, Nancy!
Hard to choose but some recent boyfriends are Dash Lassiter from The Blizzard Bride and Mitch Warden from Woman of Sunlight. Congratulations on this blogaversary!

Happy 5th Anniversary! I love your book reviews and author interviews!

Wow! These look like great books! I know that the Lady and the Lionheart is awesome because I do have that one, but have never actually read any of her others. Hmmm … that has to change I think!
yes it must! 😀
Happy Blog Birthday, Carrie!!
Two of my favorite book boyfriends: Henry from Pepper Basham’s When You Look At Me and Jay from Ray Blackston’s Flabbergasted.
i haven’t read Flabbergasted but i adore Henry too!
Happy Blogaversary, Carrie! What a cool milestone. Charlie Lionheart is definitely a favorite book boyfriend of mine!
he’s so amazing, isn’t he? thanks so much, Melissa!
Congratulations, Carrie! So glad that your dad is doing well. Any Susan May Warren is book boyfriend.
she’s awesome at writing them, isn’t she?
Matt Jarreau from My Stubborn Heart and Beckett Walker from Keep Holding On are two of my favorites.
Happy anniversary, dear friend!
thank you, dear Beckie! 🙂
great choices!
Congrats! And Happy 5 years!! Hmm… hard to say… I’m gonna have to say Philip Jonquil (although I love any of the Jonquil brothers, even though they’re so different) and Four from Divergent, although that may have a lot to do with picturing Theo James. 😁
thanks, Dezi! 🙂
Happy 5th birthday! Love the blog.
thank you, Martha!
Happy birthday! None
Happy 5th Anniversary…or Blog Birthday! 🎉🍾🥰 May the next 5 years be even more fantabulous!! One of my favorite book boyfriends that comes to mind is Zacharias Hamilton in “More Than Words Can Say” by Karen Witemeyee.
thanks so much, Becky! Karen’s books are marvelous!
My favorite book boyfriends are Travis Arch from short straw bride and Darius from full steam ahead
oooo Travis! YES
Congratulations! Happy Anniversary! I enjoy reading your blog. I don’t really have a favorite book boyfriend.
the more, the merrier when it comes to fictional book boyfriends 🙂
Congratulations on five years Carrie. I enjoy your blog even though I don’t always comment. Keep those posts coming.
thanks so much, Carla!
Happy blog Anniversary! Go you! 🙂
haha thank you 🙂
Congratulations! Happy Blog birthday! Wishing you the best,. Gabriel Allon from the Daniel Silva series.
thanks, Anne!
Tamara Leigh, Ronie Kendig, Susan May Warren and Becky Wade are my top book boyfriend writers. They have too many books between them to list, but who-eeee do they know how to write a strong, virile, never-apologizing-for-being-a-man hero that sweeps me off my feet.
Congratulations on 5-years!! So happy I found this blog and even more so that I’ve met and hugged you in person. 🙂
yessssss those authors write AHH-mazing swoonilicious heroes. And oh Amy, I am too! Hugs from bookish friends are just the best!! Looking forward to the next time!
Happy Blog Birthday Carrie!!!
thanks, Loraine! 🙂
Mine is whoever is in the book I’m currently reading, so Jace!! Happy Blog Birthday!
yay! thanks, Trudy 🙂
Happy 5th Birthday. I love them all, how can I choose.
it’s nearly impossible, i know! lol
Felicitations! Matt Jarreau (My Stubborn Heart by Becky Wade) and Cassius McLinn (The Colonel’s Lady
by Laura Frantz) really stand out for me, but I don’t think I’d survive either of them in real life; broodiness is swoonworthy in a fictional hero, but it makes my anxiety skyrocket in real life.
oooo Cassius. YES. And I totally agree lol
I’m right there with you when it comes to Ty! Meant to be Mine is the first book that I found by Becky Wade, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I still adore Ty!
me too!!!
CONGRATULATIONS, CARRIE, ON 5 WONDERFUL YEARS!! Your blog has been such a blessing! I just love your endearing spirit, creativity, and your servant’s heart in making the reading world come to life! THANK YOU!!!
As for favorite book boyfriends, if he’s swoony, tough but tender, he usually captures my heart. 🙂
awww thank you so much, Alison! And YES those heroes are the best
Congratulations , 5 years, that is a Great accomplishment! I have enjoyed your blog, Thank you so much for sharing all the awesome books . God Bless you and your family. Best wishes to you.
aww thanks so much, Alicia! 🙂
Thanks for the generous giveaway! These look like good books!
Christian Gray is still my fav.
Happy Birthday!! I enjoy your posts and love being able to add more books to my TBR pile. You have introduced me to many authors that I otherwise would never have heard of/read. I’m enjoying Kara Isaac’s “Then There Was You.”
aww thank so much, Mallori & I LOVE that book by Kara Isaac! Such fun!
I think my answer will reveal that I’m a very fickle woman. I fall in love each of the fantastic, handsome, strong, protective, loving, etc… leading men in the novels I read. My favorite novels are Intrigue & Love Inspired Suspense. The women are fantastic, but I do so love those men!
LOL i’m with you, Irene 🙂
Congratulations on your 5th birthday. My favorites would have to be Mr. Darcy of Pride and Prejudice and Edward Cullen of the Twilight series.
I’ve never been able to get into either one of those heroes :-/
I think one of my favorite book boyfriend would be Charlie from The Lady and the Lionheart
he is quite amazing!
WOOHOO!!!! CONGRATS!
And thank you <3
