Uncommon Justice #3

RELEASE DATE: June 30, 2020

Justice comes easy for these two. But forgiveness? That’s another matter altogether.

Investigative reporter Rae Burke will do anything to find her missing sister-in-law, even if it means facing Liam McKade, a man who almost lost his life saving hers. A former DEA agent, Liam thought he could find peace at his Wyoming ranch, but he doesn’t feel at home anywhere anymore. When the reporter who blew his cover on an important investigation inserts herself back into his life, he’s less than thrilled. But Rae’s keen investigative skills have led her down the right path–and directly into the dragon’s mouth–leaving Liam no choice but to protect her.

As the danger increases, the past they both tried to flee catches up to them, along with the feelings they once had for each other . . .

Hi Elizabeth! Welcome to the blog!

Elizabeth: I love Winter so I can curl up with a bowl of chili, fresh-baked bread and a good book.

Carrie: yes! this answer exactly.

Elizabeth: Coffee, coffee, coffee. . .I’m addicted.

Carrie: so… coffee then? LOL

Elizabeth: Netflix . . . because no one else in my family of all boys will watch Hallmark.

Carrie: haha

Elizabeth: Music. . . it gets me moving and makes me happy.

Carrie: yes! me too.

Q: Around here I like to say that reading is my superpower. If YOU had a superpower, what would it be?

Elizabeth: Writing? Hahahah! No, that was too easy. Hmmm. . . well. . .I’ve been told by readers that my superpower is writing descriptions in such a way they feel like they are actually there—in whatever amazing and beautiful setting I’m depicting. So let’s go with that, and it was writing related after all. 🙂

Carrie: that’s an awesome superpower to have as a writer!

Q: When you walk into a bookstore, where do you head first?

Elizabeth: Directly to the Christian fiction section—where else? Hahaha!

Carrie: but of course!

Q: Writing spaces are as diverse as authors and books. Where is your favorite space to write?

Elizabeth: Well, I actually have two offices—I have a big space in the converted garage that includes two desks, white boards and bookshelves, boxes of books and mailing supplies, filing cabinet, etc. I have an office in the corner of the dining room (it’s closer to the inside of the house when I need to be more connected) that includes a desk,  white board and my more immediate work-related items, but I end up sitting in my recliner in the living room to work.

Carrie: Yep, my recliner serves as my office lol.

Q: If Hollywood wanted to produce Don’t Keep  Silent as a movie, who would you want to be cast as the lead roles?

Elizabeth: Scarlett Johansson and William Moseley.

Carrie: excellent choices!

Q: What is something that God taught you while you wrote Don’t Keep Silent?

Elizabeth: While writing the book and the overall theme of the story grew, I was reminded how important it is to stand up for those who don’t have a voice, or who need help and don’t have the strength or power to help themselves.

Carrie: Amen! This is one of my heart’s cries!

Thank you so much for taking time to talk with me! 🙂 Before we say goodbye for today, tell us what‘s coming up next for you.

Elizabeth: Present Danger is the first book in my new Rocky Mountain Courage series and releases in the spring next year. Characters from Don’t Keep Silent will make an appearance in the next book, so I can give fans that connection they love.

Carrie: yay! I love when characters stick around in new series too 🙂

Thank you for the interview with Elizabeth Goddard and the information on “Don’t Keep Silent”. Always enjoy learning more about authors whose books I have on my TBR list.

Can’t wait for the opportunity to read this wonderful sounding book. Love the inspirational romance suspense books. This cover captivates me. I love the wintry scene with the snow capped mountains in the background to the look of determination in the woman’s face. It automatically brings several possibilities to mind and I’d love to see if any of them play out within the pages of the book.

I’m weird that I like chili in any season…not just winter. I prefer mine with Fritos, but fresh-baked bread sounds delicious.
