Hi Theresa! Welcome to the blog!

Theresa: Dogs. I’m allergic to cats.

Carrie: Dogs are better anyway 😉

Theresa: Coffee. But I only like hot coffee, never cold.

Carrie: I don’t even like hot coffee & I can’t imagine drinking it cold. Yuck! lol

Theresa: Netflix because I love true crime shows.

Carrie: If I have the TV on, it’s almost always on the Investigation Discovery channel 🙂

Theresa: Ebook. It’s just so easy to download a book and have it in seconds.

Carrie: I still love having print copies of my faves but I love ebooks so much for convenience!

Q: Around here I like to say that reading is my superpower. If YOU had a superpower, what would it be?

Theresa: I would say it’s my writing. I can go anywhere and do anything when I’m writing.

Carrie: I love that!

Q: When you walk into a bookstore, where do you head first?

Theresa: The Christian Suspense section.

Carrie: my fave!

Q: Writing spaces are as diverse as authors and books. Where is your favorite space to write?

Theresa: I’m lucky enough to have all grown children now so I made an extra bedroom into my office. I have my desk by the window and my Keurig in the corner. It’s my happy place. 🙂

Carrie: That sounds pretty much perfect 🙂

Q: Which character in Accidental Target was the most difficult to write?

Theresa: Jackson’s character was the most difficult for me. His grief was so real that at times it was painful to write it.

Carrie: I bet that made it difficult some days to keep writing his story/perspective.

Q: Do you have the whole plot outlined before you start writing, or do you let the characters dictate what comes next?

Theresa: I’m a pantser first, but then I stop and outline so that I can keep my characters from running around all over the place. Even after I outline the whole book, they still tend to tell me what they’re going to do. I think that’s how you know you’ve nailed the characterization. They need to have their own voices.

Carrie: that definitely shows up for readers too!

Q: What do you most want readers to take away from Accidental Target?

Theresa: That nothing in life is too big for God to handle. He never leaves us. Even when we feel we can’t hear His voice, He’s always there.

Carrie: amen ♥

Thank you so much for taking time to talk with me! 🙂 Before we say goodbye for today, tell us what‘s coming up next for you.

Theresa: I have a couple of projects I’m working on right now. One that I hope to finish soon is about a female detective who finds herself the target of a serial killer. The Texas Ranger assigned to the case is the one man from her past that hurt her the most. She has a lot of trust issues to overcome.

Thank you for the interview with Theresa Hall and for being part of the book tour for “Accidental Target”.

The the message Theresa wants folks to get from the book about nothing too big for God to deal with.

Can’t wait for the opportunity to read this book on my TBR list.

  3. Well….I have 4 cats, so you’d be sneezing up a storm here! I never thought I’d like ebooks more than print, but now that I want to declutter, I appreciate them so much! They don’t take up any room!

Lol! Yes, I would be, Christy! And I know what you mean about e-books. I used to LOVE buying books at the bookstore, subscribing to monthly deliveries, etc. but now I love it I can have a book instantly when I feel like reading. Also, my eyes aren’t what they used to be. Thanks for commenting! 🙂

  4. Janice Moore

The main character, Allison Moore, is also the name of a relative! She would get a kick out of this!
