Hi friends! It’s that time again when I look at my overflowing TBR bookcases (yes, bookcases. plural. and let’s not speak of the Kindle backlog) and then I look at all the delicious new books coming out September-December …. and I resign myself to blissfully abandoning all hope of ever catching up! lol. Today we’re starting out with Late 2020 Contemporary New Releases.

Here is the schedule of posts for the week so you can zero in on your fave genre!

TODAY: Contemporary Fiction (non-Amish & non-suspense)
Thursday: Historical Fiction (non-Amish & non-suspense)
Friday: Mystery/Suspense
Saturday: Amish Fiction
Saturday: Speculative/Youth
Sunday: Non-Fiction

In my continued quest to streamline these posts and make them less overwhelming for me and for you too (because, sweet mercy, that’s a lot of covers and links in one place lol), I’m only selecting a few I’m most giddy about to spotlight here. Then, I’ll also include a link to my Goodreads shelf with ALL the books coming out in 2020 in this genre. The shelves will stay up until next year. (I’m not doing that this time) AND I’ll also include links to all the September 2020 releases and October 2020 releases and November 2020 releases and December 2020 releases, each in their own list. (still doing this though!) You can also keep up with 2020’s new books as I learn about them by bookmarking the ‘2020 Releases‘ page on my blog menu & checking it each month!

You ready to drool over some great looking books?? 🙂

How will Scarlett help me survive that? No, this time I’ll turn to the sage advice of preteen YouTubers and their ponies to keep me from making a fool of myself. He’s definitely handsome, but Bri has been holding out for a love story like the one her parents had, and that certainly will not include the love-scorned-and-therefore-love-scorning Gerard. Just when it seems Bri’s bakery is poised for unprecedented success, a series of events threaten not just her business but the pedestal she’s kept her parents on all these years. Maybe Gerard is right about romance. Or maybe Bri’s recipe just needs to be tweaked.

Lauren H. Brandenburg
Lion Fiction / October 23, 2020

That said, Roy has other things on his mind, like marrying Margarette Toft. A controversial decision as the Toft and the Blackwell families have a hatred for one another that is older than the town itself. Tradition collides with superstition as the feuding families compete to organize the events surrounding the most talked about wedding in the history of Coraloo. Despite the array of minor catastrophes that ensue, and the timings clashing with a four-week long festival celebrating a legendary beaver, Roy and Margarette hold fast and declare they will do whatever it takes to wed. That is until Roy unearths a town secret – a murder involving a pair of scissors, an actor with a severe case of kleptomania, and the mysterious marriage of Innis Wilkinson.
