Hi Cindy! Welcome to the blog!
Carrie: Good choice!
Cindy: Card game
Carrie: now i want to know which game 🙂
Q: Around here I like to say that reading is my superpower. If YOU had a superpower, what would it be?
Cindy: The ability to know where everything is in the pantry, refrigerator, lost shoes/etc., but I forget why I walked into the kitchen…
Q: When you walk into a bookstore, where do you head first?
Cindy: Christian lit section. I want to see what they’ve got in stock for Christian Romantic Suspense.
Carrie: if i can even find the Christian fiction section anymore (sadly) that’s where I head too!
Q: Do you have any strange writing habits/quirks?
Cindy: I’m not sure if it’s strange, but I do have an issue with sticking to one storyline at a time. I’m easily distracted by my own imagination and weave between stories as I write. One will be on my mind and I’ll work on it for a few days when suddenly, a scenario plays out in my head for another story. I have to find a way to shift back and forth, reacquainting myself with the character before I get back into the story.
Carrie: lol i bet that does get tricky sometimes
Q: Did you have the whole plot outlined before you started writing Hostage, or did you let the characters dictate what came next?
Cindy: I’m a classic panster. I don’t outline, I just start typing! Sometimes I know where I want them to go, they just figure out the best way to get there.
Carrie: haha as long as it works 😉
Q: What do you most want readers to take away from Hostage?
Cindy: Grace. I want others to understand that God’s grace can take on anything and everything. There’s no one too far gone, too scarred that He can’t save and wash clean.
Carrie: amen & amen. So thankful for His grace ♥
Thank you so much for taking time to talk with me! 🙂 Before we say goodbye for today, tell us what‘s coming up next for you.
Cindy: I’m currently working on cleaning up another romantic suspense novel for submission. I’m hopeful to be published again next year.
Carrie: best wishes!
