favorite christmas carols
by Dana R. Lynn, author of Deadly Amish Reunion
Hi friends! Dana R. Lynn here. Today I am writing about my favorite Christmas carols. I love music in general, but Christmas songs are especially beloved. I started listening to them around Christmas time. Even when I don’t have the music playing, I tend to walk around the house singing them. I love the feeling and the memories they evoke. But I also love the message. Here’s a list of my top ten.
- O Holy Night (Brings me to tears every time.)
- Silent Night
- Little Drummer Boy (I remember watching the movie as a child.)
- Do You Hear What I Hear?
- O Come, O Come Emmanuel
- One Small Child by David Meece ( I first heard this in 1994, and it’s stuck with me ever since.)
- Mary Did You Know
- What Child Is This
- Breath of Heaven by Amy Grant (This song is so poignant.)
- The Carol of the Bells
It was very hard to stop at 10. There are so many excellent songs we sing to celebrate the Christmas season and the Savior who was born to set us free. Whatever songs you enjoy, I hope they lift your heart and spirit.
Merry Christmas and God Bless!
