Happy Friday! And welcome to First Line Friday, hosted by Hoarding Books!!! Since it’s Friday, it’s time to grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line. Today, I’m featuring the first line of The Amish Teacher’s Wish by Tracey J. Lyons, currently on tour with JustRead Publicity Tours, LLC (the company I own with my book sisters).

and the first line is…

“Sadie Fischer should have known better.”

As an Amish bachelor repairs her school… can she heal his heart?

With the school damaged during a storm, teacher Sadie Fischer needs Levi Byler’s help repairing it. Levi has one condition—he won’t become a part of her search for a husband. He’s been hurt before, and love and marriage aren’t part of his plans. But Sadie might just be the perfect woman to mend his heart…and convince him forever isn’t just for fairy tales.

I’m sharing the first line from Manor for Sale, Baron Included by Esther Hatch: https://christianfictiongirl.blog/2021/04/09/first-line-friday-179/. It’s a fun book. I highly recommend it. Currently, I’m finishing up Night Fall by Nancy Mehl so I’ll share from there.

This comes from Fugitive Trail by Elizabeth Goddard. Southwest Rocky Mountains, Colorado. The wind picked up and whipped big snowflakes around Deputy Sierra Young’s head as she followed Samson, her K-9 mountain rescue English mastiff, up the densely wooded incline. She maintained a steady pace but her heart rate increased along with her breathing. She hoped the small plane hadn’t crashed too high in the San Juan Mountains.
