UNTIL I FIND YOU
GENRE: Domestic Suspense/Thriller
PUBLISHER: St. Martin’s Griffin
RELEASE DATE: August 11, 2020
2 floors. 55 steps to go up. 40 more to the crib.
Since Rebecca Gray was diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease, everything in her life consists of numbers. Each day her world grows a little darker and each step becomes a little more dangerous.
Following days of feeling like someone’s watching her, Rebecca awakes at home to the cries of her son in his nursery. When it’s clear he’s not going to settle, Rebecca goes to check on him.
She reaches in. Picks him up.
But he’s not her son.
And no one believes her.
One woman’s desperate search for her son . . .
In a world where seeing is believing, Rebecca must rely on her own conviction and a mother’s instinct to uncover the truth about what happened to her baby and bring him home for good.
This is a general market novel with some mild cursing.
I am in the process of reading it for myself & will update this note if needed.
Hi Rea! Welcome to the blog!
Carrie: yum! me too!
Carrie: yes please!
Carrie: a prerequisite for being an author, right? 🙂
Carrie: I am an equal opportunity reader lol
Q: Around here I like to say that reading is my superpower. If YOU had a superpower, what would it be?
Rea: It would be teaching the public about PROACTIVE health instead of REACTIVE health. I am as passionate about the state of our health in this country as I am about helping writers accomplish their dreams.
Carrie: that’s awesome!
Q: What are five of your most cherished books?
The Color Purple by Alice Walker
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
The Poetry of Pablo Neruda
A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway
The Way of Integrity by Martha Beck
Carrie: I have only read To Kill a Mockingbird on this list – argh. #somanybooks #solittletime
Q: Writing spaces are as diverse as authors and books. Where is your favorite space to write?
Rea: During the pandemic, I actually splurged and bought a tiny home to sit on the back of my acre lot! It is a scandinavian-style tiny home that has become my writing studio. It’s got a built-in window seat, my favorite books, candles, crystals, plants…it is a true haven for my writing world.
Carrie: oh my goodness – I want a tiny house she-shed too
Q: If Hollywood wanted to produce Until I Find You as a movie, who would you want to be cast as the lead roles?
Rea: For blind widow Rebecca Gray, I would love to see Mandy Moore as the lead.
Carrie: fabulous casting choice!
Q: What do you most want readers to take away from Until I Find You?
Rea: I really want readers to connect with protagonists who have disabilities. I think we need to see more heroes and heroines on the page who represent the “disabled” part of our population. Everyone deserves their story to be told…even in genre form.
What about you? What makes you want to read Until I Find You by Rea Frey?
