I am always happy when I get to chat with Teresa Tysinger, so I’m excited to have her on the blog today to share a playlist based on her new Laurel Cove romance, Someone Found!
SOMEONE FOUND
SERIES: Laurel Cove Romance #3
GENRE: Inspirational Contemporary Romance
PUBLISHER: Good Day Publishing
RELEASE DATE: June 8, 2021
PAGES: 222
Life’s detours can be the most important steps we’re meant to make.
Injured and stranded, hiker Quinn McAlister is stuck recovering in Laurel Cove, North Carolina. The quiet mountain town and its polite residents are a far cry from the stifling home and painful disappointments back in Maine. When her handsome rescuer offers her a place to stay, she’s faced with coming to terms with her past and putting faith, for once, in a hopeful future.
Camp director Eli Moreland has devoted his adult life to serving others. The summer takes an unexpected turn when the beautiful hiker staying in one of the cabins sparks a deep desire for more. Giving her advice about faith comes easy. What’s hard is deciding if he’s ready to reopen his heart to love.
Being lost is worth the pain when being found is so sweet.

The Sounds of Someone Found
by Teresa Tysinger, author of Someone Found
When I write, I love to invoke all of the senses when describing a setting, scene, and sometimes characters. I think hitting briefly on sights, sounds, touches (textures of nature, for instance), tastes, and smells all help to create a world that really comes alive in a reader’s mind. At least, that’s the hope.
For me, it helps to have a soundtrack for a story. Think about some of your favorite movie soundtracks. The music underscoring movies like You’ve Got Mail, When Harry Met Sally, and Something’s Gotta Give…they’re all so iconic to setting the mood of quirky romances.
Before I sit down to draft a story, I create a playlist of music that “feels” like the story I have in my mind. It also helps to put my mind right back in the middle of the story quickly every time I revisit the story to write more. When writing my novel Someone Found, which released yesterday, I knew I wanted music that reflected summer in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina where the story is set. To me, that means bluegrass, acoustic country rock, and slow/smooth melodies that remind me of a gentle breeze. That feeling of rocking on a porch with a glass of iced tea and crickets chirping in the nearby woods.

The Someone Found Playlist
Here are a few of my top picks from the Someone Found playlist I built on Spotify. Give them a listen and let me know what you think in the comments!
- Fryslan by Phil Cook would be the opening credits song, inviting folks into the world of Laurel Cove.
- Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise by The Avett Brothers reminds me of Quinn’s struggle and undiscovered hopes.
Across White Oak Mountain by Chuck Johnson makes me think of the hike Quinn and Eli take up to Mount Mitchell. I can close my eyes while listening to Waltz of the Circassian Beauties by William Tyler and I’m taken to the pond in the woods on Eli’s camp where he and Quinn take a lazy summer swim.
- I was about three-quarters finished drafting the novel when I came across Found by Chris Renzema. It stopped me in my tracks. I cried listening to the beautiful lyrics and how they speak to Quinn’s journey of faith and the beautiful saving grace God offers all of us lost souls. And so, it’s the final song on the playlist. Read a few of these lyrics.
So would You go with me while I walk this road,
Take me by the hand and lead this wanderer home?
There’s still so far for me to climb, I forget that you are mine.
When the road in front of me gets dark and seems so far,
But in the promise of Your light I’m found
And all the world is right.
Wow, right? Gives me chills every time I listen. What a beautiful reminder that we’re never really lost or traveling alone!
I hope you enjoy these songs and the whole playlist. Maybe you’ll keep it playing as you read Someone Found this summer, and be immersed in the charm, quietness, and rich culture of the Blue Ridge. Happy Reading!
