I asked the author…
What do you most want readers to take away from killer insight and Texas holiday hideout?
Thank you so much for having me on the blog and chatting with me today. I was asked what one thing I wanted readers to take away from my books. I immediately thought about the saying on my website. The enemy has one mission in the life of a believer—to stop her from moving forward. But God has a plan, too. A plan to give you hope and a future. (Jer. 29:11). This is the overriding theme behind all my stories, including my two, Carol Award finalists, Texas Holiday Hideout and Killer Insight.
I am blessed this year to have two books final in the Carol Awards, but both books answer the same question—what do we do when our lives are turned upside down? When your mother is murdered and you learn your entire life has been a lie (Texas Holiday Hideout). Or when you have so much confidence in your own skills as a criminal profiler that you fail to see the catastrophic events happening right under your nose (Killer Insight). Life is hard and both of my heroines are dealt blows that changes their lives forever. Their futures seems bleak…until they learn to put their faith in God and allow His plans to unfold. Whether it is the enemy at the door or the consequences of our own bad choices that derail our lives, God’s plans are bigger and greater than our troubles. His promise of hope and a future shines brightly.
