five behind-the-scenes facts about our anthology
by Liwen Y. Ho, author of “One Vow for September” in Save the Date
- The authors of the Save the Date anthology began working together back in October 2020.
- Which took longer for us to decide on—the cover or the title? It was the title. We all loved the cover that Marion Ueckermann designed for us and had no hesitations moving forward with it. The title took us a bit more time to think about because we wanted something that was catchy and wedding-related. Save the Date has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?
- We have a reader group on Facebook with the most supportive and enthusiastic readers. We’ve been having fun this whole year playing games and trading fun wedding stories and trivia.
- It worked out well that there are twelve authors in this anthology because each story in Save the Date is set in a different month of the year. So, whatever season you’re in the mood to read about, there will be three stories set specifically during that time.
- The authors have formed some great friendships during our time working together. We interact almost on a daily basis in a Facebook group and share prayer needs with one another.
