If anything goes wrong, Andrew will find himself in the last place he wants to be—chief executive officer of McCall Resorts as his father’s successor. Hi Natasha! Welcome to the blog!

Natasha: Apples! I love all the fun ways I can eat them. Two of my favorite ways are chopped up in my salad and of course, apple pie. Who doesn’t love a warm slice of apple pie? 😊

Carrie: yes please!!!! (not gonna lie – my mouth is watering a little lol)

Natasha: Winter! I’m not sure why, but I associate winter with romance. Maybe it’s because of the warm drinks and cozy blankets. But most importantly, I get to wear boots and sweaters. LOL. I live in Texas, so sometimes we don’t get a real winter.

Carrie: I love winter too 🙂

Natasha: I love tea for bedtime, but coffee for mornings. This is a tough one, but I guess I’ll go with coffee since I usually drink 2-3 cups in the morning and only one cup of tea at night before bed.

Carrie: Best of both worlds!

Natasha: I love print books because flipping pages is exciting, right? However, the ebook is quickly growing on me, and Kindle allows me to hoard more books. 😊

Carrie: haha this is very true (*whispers* It’s not hoarding if it’s books. The internet says so)

Q: Around here I like to say that reading is my superpower. If YOU had a superpower, what would it be?

Natasha: Certainly writing because I do lots of it. It’s my calling and I also have to do it for my day job. However, if I could choose another, I need the powers of The Flash. It seems there are so many things I need to do on a daily basis. If I could get them done quickly and focus on my writing, that’d be great. 😊

Carrie: oh man that would be a fabulous superpower to have! Imagine how much more reading I could get done?!? haha

Q: Which books are “on your nightstand”?

  1. The Bible
  2. My Kindle
  3. Marriage on The Rock
  4. Effectual (Keys to Answered Prayers)
  5. Not All F’s are bad
  6. The Power of God’s Names
  7. The Emotional Craft of Fiction

Okay, when I look at this list, this is a lot. My husband has been hinting at me clearing my nightstand. I guess I *almost* see his point now. LOL.

Carrie: hahaha nah, you’re good 😉

Q: If I sneaked a peek in your purse right now (which I would never do, I promise!), what would it tell me about you?

Natasha: LOL. Please don’t do that. It would probably say that I’m carrying around way too much stuff and perhaps I have a strong shoulder. I guess I like to be prepared. 😊

Carrie: LOL

Q: If Hollywood wanted to produce With Every Breath as a movie, who would you want to be cast as the lead roles?

Natasha: Excellent question! This is the first book I’ve written where I cast my characters before I began the writing process. I even had the “cast” taped to my wall so they could speak to me during the writing process.

  • Kim Brockington as Nina Marie Robinson.
  • Aja Naomi King as Danielle Adams, Nina’s assistant
  • Lance Gross as Andrew McCall
  • John David Washington as Darius McCall, Andrew’s brother
  • Ernie Hudson as Jeffrey McCall, Andrew’s father
  • Alfre Woodard as Rose McCall, Andrew’s mother

Carrie: i adore Ernie Hudson & Alfre Woodard – excellent choices for Andrew’s parents! And speaking of Andrew – Lance Gross is yum 🙂

Q: Did you have the whole plot outlined before you started writing With Every Breath, or did you let the characters dictate what came next?

Natasha: It was a bit of a mix. I didn’t have the whole plot outlined, only what should happen in each chapter. I feel constrained by outlining the whole plot before writing. I want to give the characters the freedom to do their thing.

Carrie: that’s a good balance, i think

Q: What is something God taught you while you wrote With Every Breath?

Natasha: Tough times will come, as they are a part of life. However, I shouldn’t run from them but trust Him throughout the process. I must remember that He is always with me even if I *feel* He isn’t. I have to trust what I know about Him to be true – that He is faithful.

Carrie: Amen ♥

Thank you so much for taking time to talk with me! 🙂 Before we say goodbye for today, tell us what‘s coming up next for you.

Natasha:Book 2 in the McCall Family series will release at the end of November. This story will be Darius’ story, Andrew’s brother. I’m currently writing book 3. I’m excited about this series. I hope readers enjoy it and find inspiration from Nina and Andrew’s story.

Natasha D. Frazier

Natasha D. Frazier fell in love with love around the age of twelve because of artists like Babyface, Boys II Men, Whitney Houston, and New Edition. Around sixteen when her mother purchased a romance novel and left it lying around the house untouched, Natasha read it and a spark for the written word had been ignited.

Natasha believes that writing is one of her purposes and contributions to the world. She feels accomplished when she can get a few words written and like blah when life gets in the way. Her hope is that at the end of every novel, readers will feel like they’ve been wrapped in a cozy blanket with a mug of their favorite coffee/tea/warm drink.

When she isn’t reading or writing, she is likely watching movies with her family. Natasha resides in Richmond, TX with her husband, Eddie Frazier, Jr. and their three children, Eden, Ethan, and Emilyn. Her greatest joy and commitment is to her family who she hopes to inspire above all else. One of her many mottos in life is: Faith removes limitations. Natasha and her family attend Parkway Fellowship in Richmond, TX, where she volunteers as a small group leader for elementary students. Natasha is also a member of the Houston Area Alumni Chapter of Jackson State University and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
