ALWAYS BEEN YOURS by Jaycee Weaver
SERIES: Something Borrowed Collection #1
GENRE: Inspirational Contemporary Romance

RELEASE DATE: November 1, 2021
After years of waiting for her boyfriend to propose, office manager Hanady Ellsworth takes matters into her own hands. Now she’s engaged and planning her dream wedding with the help of her closest girlfriends. So why is she suddenly reading into everything Marco says and second guessing her choice? When her best friend is injured on the job, helping him through months of recovery is the perfect distraction from her confusing feelings.
With a broken femur, Keenan Ochoa can’t exactly stand up for what he wants (or rather, who). But he knows firsthand Marco’s a jerk who doesn’t appreciate how gorgeous Hanady is—from her tall stature and generous curves to her sassy sweetness and strong faith. This injury might be the perfect chance for him to show her which of them is the better man.
Her Christmas wedding is coming fast, so he’ll have to get creative if he wants to sweep her off her feet when he can’t put weight on his. If she doesn’t see she’s marrying the wrong guy soon, his leg won’t be the only thing broken.
Always Been Yours first appeared in the Something Borrowed: Christmas Weddings Collection in 2020. Be sure to check out the interconnected stories from Toni Shiloh, Mikal Dawn, Teresa Tysinger, and Andrea Boyd.

Friends. Every guy’s favorite word from the mouth of the woman he loved.
His own fault.
But wait. He recalled her tone. Had he detected a hint of trouble in paradise? No, he couldn’t hold on to empty hope.
Rather than think too long on a fruitless subject, he tossed out a few suggestions for dinner. They agreed on a place almost immediately, as usual. There was something to be said for having similar tastes in most things, especially food.
“Thank you, by the way,” he remembered to tell her after returning home and getting situated in his recliner once again. “Not just for leaving work early to take me to therapy today. For being such a good friend. I’ve missed you.”
Keenan hadn’t meant to admit that last part. Shouldn’t have, really, but it was still true. He had missed their friendship. Hanging out with her had always been a highlight. Comfortable. Easy. Everything.
Hanady’s cheeks pinked before she rewarded him with her dimpled smile. Man, she was pretty.
And not his.
Keep reminding yourself, buddy.
As if it was possible to forget. The ring on her hand flashed like a beacon every time the light hit it – in case he might overlook the other constant reminders.
