Kara’s determined to elevate her career, and saving a high profile holiday party just weeks before Christmas is the perfect solution. Suddenly she’s saddled with two adorable kids, one excited dog, and a huge dilemma: can she pull off both jobs?
Widower Richard Westfield may be a whiz at designing top-of-the-line security technology, but he’s flummoxed as to how to protect his kids and his heart from taking another emotional hit. He strikes a deal with Kara: she’ll work her organizational magic if he’ll make an effort to find his footing as a father again.

what is it about Christmas?
by Lenora Worth, author of A Nanny for Christmas
We know what the big deal is about Christmas—Christ was born in a manger and the shepherds followed the bright star, three wise men came bearing gifts and Mary and Joseph watched over their newborn son. That is what Christmas is all about. We get excited each year because we know how beautiful the season will be, and we love Jesus.
Then of course, there is the hype—shop early (like in July!) buy online and get free shipping, try these recipes and tips for the BEST CHRISTMAS DINNER EVER. It will even impress your mother-in-law. We all stress about the perfect gifts, the perfect tree, the perfect dinner, the perfect family pictures.
And then there are the books and movies about Christmas—now that’s something we can all sink our marshmallows into. We love a good, sappy, heartwarming Christmas story, because we want a good, sappy, heartwarming Christmas in our lives.
The reality of what really happens at Christmas can be pushed aside if we have a good book, a comfortable chair, and a cup of something warm and soothing. Throw in a cookie or some chocolate and we’re ready for the season.
I like to wait for that moment every Christmas. It usually comes after I’ve decorated the tree. I sit and stare out the window and watch for a star. Any star. I have a hot drink in my hand and a book nearby. I give thanks for all the good and I pray for all the bad. I ask for hope and guidance in the new year. That one bright moment is mine and mine alone with the Lord.
I hope you find such a moment in all the hurry and stress. And I hope you have a good book nearby to enjoy—for you and only you—while you make Christmas memories.
A Nanny for Christmas covers just about everything I’ve mentioned here. Event planner Kara wants to put on the perfect party for millionaire Richard. But when his two rambunctious children and a fierce tiny dog named Buttons come into her life, Kara suddenly wants more than tinsel and glitter. Richard is a grieving widower who doesn’t quite know what to do. Kara helps him with that. And they find their special moment on a romantic night when all is finally calm and quiet. I hope you’ll enjoy that moment with them.
