I’m so enjoying Tara Randel’s Golden Matchmakers Club series, and Her Christmastime Family is no exception!

For starters, I love the setting in the North Georgia mountains and the quaint town of Golden. The mountains are my happy place, as you know, and snow in the mountains makes me even happier. Add CHRISTMAS to the mix, and you’ve got three of my favorite things in general & three of my favorite elements in a contemporary romance.

Single parents Faith & Roan, with a little help from their respective children, are next in the Golden Matchmakers Club’s sights. His adorable daughters are desperate for him to continue his late wife’s Christmas traditions, but he’s struggling to know how to start. Enter Faith, the “Christmas whisperer” who lives next door with her kids… and the perfect excuse for the two little families to spend a lot of time together. The well-intentioned group of senior citizens who fancy themselves the town matchmakers barely even need to intervene this time, though watching them try to be subtle is still highly entertaining haha.

I loved watching Faith and Roan fall in love – the author does a great job creating characters you immediately like and want to root for. They’re naturally flawed which makes them relatable and genuine, and I really enjoyed the way they complemented each other’s strengths and shored up each other’s weaknesses. I also appreciated how the author gave each of the child characters individual personalities – they really were, in many ways, the stars of this story, and their earnest desire to be a family together made me cheer on their parents’ romance even more!

Bottom Line: Her Christmastime Family by Tara Randel is delightful in every way! Her warm writing style beckons you to pull up a rocking chair, light a roaring fire in your fireplace, grab a warm beverage, and immerse yourself in the story. Swoony romance shares the page with sincere character growth and holiday fun. The small mountain town setting is perfect for the mood of the story, and I’m already looking forward to the Golden Matchmakers Club next targets!
