I am so excited that I get to hang out with Toni Shiloh – even if only virtually – on the release day for her new contemporary royal romance, To Win A Prince!

TO WIN A PRINCE by Toni Shiloh
GENRE: Inspirational Contemporary Royal Romance
PUBLISHER: Bethany House
RELEASE DATE: September 13, 2022

Can she stop herself from falling before she’s too far gone?

As a fashion aficionado and best friend of the queen of the African island country Ọlọrọ Ilé, Iris Blakely dreams of using her talent to start a sustainable clothing line to help citizens in impoverished areas and honor the country’s resources. But when she discovers that Ekon Diallo–the man who betrayed her best friend–will be her business consultant, the battle between her desires and reality begins.

Ekon Diallo has lost everything: his princely title, his material possessions, his friends, and the respect of his fellow Ọlọrans. To pay for his actions against Ọlọrọ Ilé, he’s forced to assist the charismatic Iris Blakely–but he can’t allow his heart to distract him from regaining his status.

Though they come from vastly different worlds, Iris and Ekon are both determined to reach their goals, and the only way to do that is to work together–if they can just keep their hearts from getting in the way .

by Toni Shiloh, author of To Win A Prince

To Win a Prince is a story of my heart. It was written through a tough time but also one I felt was the most God-inspired. As such, there are many quotes from the book that makes me smile or touches my heart. The quote I wanted to share with you today is:

“God knew who I was. Knew everything about me and still found me worthy of saving. I shook my head at the magnitude of that. Worthy on His say-so.”

This passage in the book is a pivotal moment for the hero. Up until this point, he’s lived life for himself and faced the consequences of his actions. He knows he’s no good. But as he begins to explore the saving power of Jesus Christ, he attempts to grasp the idea that God would save us, knowing how we (humanity) has sinned.

There’s a lot a talk about grace in the Bible. How God’s grace is immeasurable when it compares to people’s sin. People also talk about being gracious to others as a loving act and because we would want that same measure. But what I don’t think is talked about a lot is grace for self.

We as a people are always hardest on ourselves. When we fail our own expectations, it seems to be unforgivable. After all, we know our capabilities, we know the lessons from the Bible, and we even know that God forgives. Yet, we’re not so ready to forgive ourselves as God is at one request from us.

If it’s one thing I’d like taught more it’s how to forgive yourself, accept the gift of Christ’s sacrifice, and “go and sin no more.” It’s as simple as that and not quiet. Our emotions can trap us, lies we’ve believed can shackle us, and the enemy would have us lost forever.

If To Win a Prince has only one task, I hope it would be that no matter what you’ve done or how you’ve sinned, you’re never too far from God to come back to the family, whether returning or entering for the first time.
