An Alaskan Christmas Promise

Welcome back to our annual blog series spotlighting (over 60 again this year) new and recently-released Christmas reads!

Christmas is only 23 days away, according to Google, but of course it’s never too early for Christmas stories, and ’tis the season when I really start craving them (even more than I do the rest of the year lol), so now is the perfect time to jump right into these posts!

Continuing through just after Christmas, I’m going to spotlight several Christmasy releases from 2022. Most days will have more than one post, just FYI. So… snuggle in, grab your fave hot beverage and comfiest blanket, turn on some Christmas tunes and start your bookish Christmas list! Oh… and did I mention there are GIVEAWAYS with EACH POST in this series??!! (Because authors are awesome!)

This needs to be the best Christmas Kit O’Malley has ever seen—because she may not be able to see another. But they can’t reach their Christmas joy together until Kit’s secret comes to light…

Aah. It’s that time of the year again when there’s a little bit of magic floating in the air. The smell of peppermint hot cocoa drifts to our noses along with the aroma of a newly cut Christmas tree. I love the anticipation of Christmas morning. For me it goes back to being in a family of seven and having four siblings. Imagine the rush on Christmas morning with five kids scrambling to unwrap presents. Although my own children are young adults now, I fondly remember their exuberant Christmas mornings and the hope of something wonderful happening.

For me, Christmas is all about hope. Hope is all around us at this special time of the year. It seems that everything is possible.

Hope is one of the themes of my Christmas release, An Alaskan Christmas Promise.

In my new release, my heroine, Kit, discovers that she is losing her vision. As a woman of faith she’s put in a very desperate situation filled with fear and uncertainty. She finds hope in the form of the hero, Leo, and a K9 service dog named Jupiter. Both Kit and Leo have hurts in their past that make it hard for them to hold on to hope. But there’s something about Christmas that makes it easier to hope for things we might not think are possible.

An Alaskan Christmas Promise is a story about what happens when life hands a person unimaginable losses. My heroine Kit can either curl up into a ball and wallow or step out on a limb of faith and hope. It takes courage to hope, but with the spirit of the season swirling all around us, hope is ever present.

I would like to read An Alaskan Christmas Promise by Belle Calhoune because it sounds like a sweet wintery tale.

I love the cover and synopsis and the fact that this story is set in Alaska. I would love to move there but for now I must live vicariously through the stories that I read. That is what makes me want to read this story.
