Happy Tuesday! And happy last day of February – can you believe how quickly 2023 is going by already?? Today’s theme for Top Ten Tuesday is a Genre Freebie, and I decided to talk about some recent faves I’ve read in the romantic suspense genre – my ‘comfort read’ genre, hands down. When I can’t think of what else I’m in the mood to read (we’ve all been there, right?), I can always enjoy a good romantic suspense. And these titles are beyond good!

it’s a great read!
We love a Dani Pettrey shout out. And yes. Not okay with the third month of 2023 already incoming. Not. Cool.
riiiiight?!? craziness.
Aww! Thank you for choosing Obsession!! 🙂
my pleasure! It’s on my list to get all caught up on your books this year 😀
I haven’t read a ton of romantic suspense. I like a touch of it in my contemporary romances, though, like Catherine Cowels’s books. I’ll have to check these out.
Becky Wade has been adding some romantic suspense to her contemporary romances lately – I think you’d love her newest one, Memory Lane 🙂
Love this so much! I have read at least half of these and I added Buried Cold Case Secrets to my TBR 🙂
yay!! it’s so good!!
Just finished Dark of Night, loved it!
I haven’t read any of these but have you read the Veronica Speedwell series? The romance is a huge slow burn but so good!
My Top Ten!
I love the Veronica Speedwell series! (Her series before that – Lady Julia Grey – was fabulous as well!)
I’ve read about half of these. I think every time I turn around a new one is releasing. I’m looking forward to Natalie Walters new one releasing, though I can’t remember the title name at the moment.
Blind Trust is fantastic! I hope you love it!
Romantic Suspense… I didn’t realize it has become a genre. I haven’t read any of those authors, but does Sandra Brown fit this genre? I’ve used to read hers a lot back then.
yep! she would fit into this genre.
Wow! Thanks for including Driving Force! So happy to hear you love it! I think romance readers who are new to romantic suspense would like it too! Thank you again!!!
A great list! Mehl and Pettrey’s books are excellent. 😀
A romantic suspense book is always a winner in my opinion.
I read 7 of these and agree on the comfy read – suspense/romantic suspense is always my go to genre with a lot of these authors my go-to authors.
I really need to get back to Nancy Mehl’s books. I read Lynn Blackburn’s Under Fire in February. I binged that whole series and loved it all! And Natalie Walters’ SNAP Agency was fabulous! I just saw that Buried Cold Case Secrets elsewhere and need to check that out.
Would love to read them all.
I really need to read more romantic suspense. I rarely read it but every time I do, I love it. Thanks for all of these recs!
you’re welcome!
Nice list, they all look good. I enjoyed the one Nancy Mehl book I read. I added Cold Light of Day to my TBR.
yay!! It’s a great one!
I haven’t read any romantic suspense novels lately, I probably should try some.
i love them! 🙂
Oooh, all of these are new to me, so thank you for sharing them! I don’t read much romantic suspense as a genre, but I’ve read some romances with a little suspense included, and it’s always a nice touch! Happy reading!
thanks, Dedra!
I haven’t read any romantic suspense yet, but I feel like I would enjoy the genre too. These are new to me, but they look good, so thanks for sharing!
you’re welcome! I highly recommend them all 🙂
