Do you have to depress me by reminding me summer won’t last right as summer is about to start? 😉
Summer is definitely my favorite season.
haha! Well… i’m already wearing my ‘is it fall yet’ t-shirt lol
Prologue
May 27, 1885
La Plata Springs, Colorado
Narcissa Platte sat at her vanity, admiring her reflection.
Her eyes, large, soulful and jadestone green, stared back at her with a heaviness that made her appear older than her twenty-two years.
sounds interesting! What book is it from?
July 1899
Montmartre
Paris
Emilie Pascal wipes her hands on the cleanest cloth she can find and carefully places the sheet of stationary on the desktop.
oo which book?
Oh this looks good! I’ve enjoyed other books by Woodhouse, so I’d give this one a try, even though I don’t usually gravitate towards contemporary settings.
it’s always fun though when a fave author does a little exploring beyond the genre you’re familiar with 🙂
26 Below sounds like a great read.
yes!
Captivating and memorable novel.
Seems like a thrilling read! Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like another great Book ! Firefighter Colton Cassidy’s newly discovered grandmother is notorious for her matchmaking, and she’s decided her next match will be between Colton and ER doctor Olivia Lemmon. The Firefighter’s Family Secret by Lisa Childs!
uh oh! they don’t stand a chance, I bet 🙂
Okay, definitely putting THAT one on my list!!
Here’s my 1st line: Today was not a good day to die. Deception, by Patricia Bradley
i love that series by Pat – i still need to review it but I’ve read them all!
This book sounds great! I just started reading this one: Forged in Steele by Susan Sleeman.
First line(s): Bristol Steele beloved in perfect days. Today wasn’t one of them. Not even close.
i can’t wait to catch up on that series!
Absolutely loved Kim’s book!
My first line this week is from Counter Attack by Patricia Bradley:
Phame fingered the White pawn and opened the TOR browser from a USB drive.
Happy Friday!
I’m currently reading A Heart Worth Stealing by Joanna Barker. It is really good!
“I stood frozen, unable to move, speak. Catherine looked from me to Jack, her expression unreadable.”
I hope you have a great weekend!
ooo i want to read that one!
Love the cover.
me too!
26 Below sounds like an epic page-turner!
agreed!
Thank you for sharing. God bless you.
This sounds like a great book!
yes!!
I’m looking forward to reading this one! I just got my JustRead copy, and the cover is even better in person. 🙂 I’m currently reading Across the Shores novella collection, and am on the third story, “Running from Love” by Angela K. Couch. The first line is: “Alberta, Canada, 1906 ~ Anna Kohler choked on a scream–and the rank odor that shattered any relief or hope that had flitted through her at the sight of the small cabin.” — I hope you have a wonderful week!
ooo yay! And I really enjoyed that novella collection!
26 Below sounds “wicked good” as they say. The story sounds great, but there is that evil killer. I am between books at the moment except for the children’s book I am reading to my daughter which is Andi’s Pony Trouble by Susan K. Marlow. “Andi Carter dropped her spoon into her empty bowl.”
“Hello, Dr, Stark!” from Falling for the Recluse by Liv Prescott which I will be starting tonight. I finished reading 26 Below this morning and all I can say is that I can’t wait to read the next story in the series! Thank you for posting about this book
yay!
