Happy Friday & welcome to the First Line Friday link-up! It’s time to grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line. Today I’m delighted to feature the first line of Under a Desert Sky by DiAnn Mills! This is a gorgeous re-release of a novel she first published in 2011, and while I first fell in love with her books via her historical western romances (which had a dose of suspense, too) I must have missed this one! Definitely hoping to read it sometime soon this go-around!

Under a Desert Sky

and the first lines of Under a Desert Sky are…

Poisonous snakes come in all shapes and sizes. The one towering above me stood over six feet tall and wore a gray, three-piece suit.
