This LOVE STORIES giveaway series is thusly named for two reasons – first, because I love stories and second, because I love Love Stories. Throughout […]
Happy Saturday! All week, I have had the privilege of sharing mini interviews with nearly all of the 2019 ACFW Carol Award Finalists! Today I’m wrapping things up with the debut novel & romance categories, including Carla Laureano and her Carol Award nominated novel The Saturday Night Supper Club! You […]
Denver chef Rachel Bishop has accomplished everything she’s dreamed and some things she never dared hope, like winning a James Beard Award and heading up her own fine-dining restaurant. But when a targeted smear campaign causes her to be pushed out of the business by her partners, she vows to […]
I am absolutely delighted today to host one of my favorite, go-to authors – Carla Laureano. You’ve heard me talk (ad nauseam) about #myJames, the swooniest of the swoony book boyfriends. I’ve been dying for a new release from her and it’s finally here!! AND THE WORLD REJOICES!!! I know […]
Hello friends! This week’s theme for Top Ten Tuesday is yet another one that caused me some consternation for a while. We’re supposed to be talking about books we’ve read because someone recommended them to us. But… see… these days I pretty much only read books that people have asked […]
This week’s topic for Top Ten Tuesday is going to be fun to follow around amongst all the different blogs and see what everyone else posted. We’re talking about things that books have made us want to do – and by association the books that have inspired us to do […]
Hello ladies and lords! After this week’s Top Ten Tuesday post on Books Set Outside the U.S. – in which I purposely left out England too – a couple of my dear reading friends still bemoaned England’s absence. I am nothing if not accommodating, but it really needed its […]
I’m really excited about this week’s topic for Top Ten Tuesday – Books Set Outside the United States. And yes I shamelessly borrowed my title from The Wizard of Oz, with Zuzu subbing for Toto in a pinch. In all honesty, that wouldn’t really work. She’d be more suited […]
Hi everyone! We are kicking off summer today on Top Ten Tuesday with our lists of beach reads! After last week’s atrociously difficult prompt for which I was only to come up with an embarrassing FOUR books (it still hurts a little), I have gone above and beyond this […]
Just the word brings about images of tall, strong, and swoony men emerging into a story with enough testosterone to encourage a primal growl from the purist of prudes. Okay, so some heroes might encourage more of a quiet sigh as their tenderness, touch of tease, and/or quiet strength wrap around your heart like a constant hug…from nice strong arms.
A couple of weeks ago, I brought you a new list each day of the best books I read in 2015. This week will be similar except I will be talking about the books I’m most anticipating for the first half of 2016.
Let’s kick off the week with the contemporary genre!
It’s that time of year when everyone is making lists and checking them twice. Some are finding out who has been naughty and who has been nice. Some are making sure those in their circles of gifting know what they want for Christmas.
Here at Reading Is My SuperPower, I’m making lists too! Every day this week will feature the best books I read in 2015 from different genres.
Today’s focus is contemporary fiction.
This week’s topic for Top Ten Tuesday is “New-to-me Favorite Authors I Read for the First Time in 2015”. The great thing about starting a book blog this year is that I have been introduced to books by so many wonderful authors I hadn’t read before now! Narrowing down to 10 this week is difficult, so for brevity’s sake I didn’t include debut authors from 2015 in this list.
In honor of the upcoming holiday, I am dedicating this week’s Top Ten Tuesday to the fictional families I would most like to join for Thanksgiving. So, grab a plate, pile it high with all your favorite foods, and settle in for my dream invite list.
*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish* I’m excited about today’s theme – those authors whose debut novels have us itching to get our hands on their sophomore release. One of my favorite things about blogging is introducing people to talented new […]
*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and The Bookish* It’s Tuesday, folks, and you know what that means – another installment of the popular blog linkup “Top Ten Tuesday”. This week’s theme is author duos you’d love to see write a book together. I’m […]
I was tagged by Deanna @ anovelglimpse (thanks, Deanna!) in the Fall Time Cozy Book Tag, started by Sam @ Novels and Nonsense. The one who needs rescuing isn’t always the one in the tower. Rapunzel can throw a knife better than any man. She paints beautiful flowering vines on the walls of her plaster […]
