Welcome to a Back to School freebie edition of Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly linkup hosted as always by the marvelous team at The Broke and the Bookish. Since we were given much freedom with our topics today, I opted to feature some of my favorite books with teachers as […]
Yesterday, I talked about the contemporary fiction new releases that I’m most looking forward to this summer. Today, for Top Ten Tuesday, I’m looking at my most anticipated historical fiction new releases for June, July, and August. Technically, the bloggers over at The Broke & The Bookish said to do the […]
Confession: I had no idea what to do for this week’s theme. The ladies at The Broke and the Bookish suggested that this week be about those books for which we feel differently now that time has passed. Ugh. First of all, if I love a book, I love it. […]
This week’s theme is books that make you laugh. My first thought was, “Really?” Because it feels like I just did that topic (probably since I did). So I thought about doing some bookish humor instead… but … eh. At the end of the day, I decided I have enough […]
Yeah. I hate Spring Daylight Savings Time. So I thought we could all use a bit of cheering up.
How about some free books? Or some great discounts?
(As always, please double check the price before you one-click!)
Follow my blog with Bloglovin This week on Top Ten Tuesday, we are talking about characters. Technically the topic is about those characters that a) you alone dislike or b) you alone love. But I kinda did that already (last year), so I decided to talk instead about those secondary […]
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic (hosted as always by The Broke and the Bookish) is “books to read when you’re in the mood for ______”. I really enjoy these more open-ended themes because everyone’s posts have a greater chance of being tailored to their own personalities.
I. Am. SO EXCITED. As soon as I saw that today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic was a Valentine’s KissingBooks Day freebie, I knew immediately what my post would be about. Way back in August, I wrote my KissingBooks 101 post and it remains one of my most popular/highest viewed posts. But since then I have discovered some additionally swoon-worthy KissingBooks – or remembered some that I forgot about when I was writing the first lesson. I’ve had several people ask me to do another KissingBooks 101, and I am nothing if not accommodating when it comes to this topic 😉
This week’s topic has several possible variations but I’m choosing to talk about my favorite historical settings. You know, those periods of history whose mere mention in a book blurb has your radar engaged and your interest piqued.
As 2015 wound to a close this week, I have been talking about the books I’m most anticipating for the first half of 2016. Today, I’m finishing up with some miscellaneous-category books that I can’t wait to read!
Since Pepper is one of my very favorite people in the world and A Twist of Faith is one of my very favorite books, I thought it would be fun to see what some of PEPPER’s favorite things are! So, you know, I asked her 🙂
Usually when you have this many different authors in one place, there are bound to be a couple of stories that I don’t like. That was not the case in The 12 Brides of Christmas. I have my favorite novellas of the group, certainly, but each story was very well-written with solidly developed & engaging characters and emotionally-satisfying plots. My only wish is that each novella had been its own full-length novel so that I could have more of the delightful characters.
This week is all about those first novels by new authors, specifically the ones coming up in 2016 that we just can’t wait to read! I’ve picked some of the debut novels I’m most excited about – and then also some books by established authors who are starting either a new series or a new direction.
Matthew Tucker survives a grizzly attack by jumping over a cliff into a rushing river. Unexpectedly, Shannon Wilde takes the plunge with him. Going through a series of waterfalls and rapids turns into a bonding experience. By the time they battle their way back to civilization, Shannon has been thoroughly […]
You may have noticed there’s no author listed in the title of this post (as in “Review: The Homestead Brides Collection by…”). That’s because NINE authors contributed to this collection and, if there isn’t a word limit on titles yet, there would be after I’d included them all 🙂 Through nine historical romance […]
